I had an Atrix 2 and it was the best smartphone I've ever had. I'm currently using a Galaxy S5, which is better in many ways, but the Atrix 2 was basically a Galaxy S3 with some additional great features. I guess people preferred the Galaxy because it had twice as much ram, but installing apps on the memory card prevented that from being a problem.
In addition to running dual operating systems, I loved the micro HDMI port on the Atrix 2. The HDTV adapter most phones currently use has more features, but it's clunky, expensive and unnecessary. When I last upgraded, I couldn't find a phone with a HDMI connector, much to my dismay.
Although it's certainly not new technology, I also liked having a radio tuner built into the phone. I still listen to OTA radio sometimes and an actual tuner just makes it easier. Yea, I can listen to most stations online, but one local station doesn't even broadcast online and several others work sporadically, at best. Plus, a radio tuner doesn't run up your data usage when you're on the go. It was just simple, old-school technology built right into the phone.
I love the Galaxy S5 I have today and find the smartphone features work better then ever, but I got more use out of the Atrix 2 then I have any mobile phone I've used over the past 30 years, so I'm disappointed to see it's innovative and unique features go by the wayside. I still don't understand why it wasn't more popular, but as stated here, I think it was simply ahead of it's time.

I use to have Opera on my Blackberries when edge was the thing to use on it. I also used Opera on the Iphones I would try back in the day on Tmobile in the US. Tmobile was only using 2g bands on the Att signal back in the day. I ended up going between Android and mostly Blackberry because of that in those days. Now Tmobile has the Att bands on 4g Lte and now I can mostly use Iphones now.
I also had an Atrix I bought use online and loved it. It was so ahead of it's time and had a fingerprint reader. The size was just so good and the phone was very powerful at the time. The only thing that made the phone not so good was the Blur stuff that slowed it down. I remember read on XDA at the time people would put custom ROMS and made that phone fly.

I have to honor the 5800, it had a horrible bad display with absolutely garbage colors, it was fat and slow and the UI was a shining example of how things should NOT be done, but it was still good value for money, affordable touch phone with 3G.

Opera Mini renders the web content on Opera servers and then sends you a stripped down version of the site. Not very secure as Opera servers act as a man in the middle. Opera Mobile is what you should compare to Firefox and Chrome, and I expect it wouldn't receive favorable comparisons since Opera sold out and went to shit.

Opera Mini is still a very useful browser for feature phones. I use it on my Altair 2, which isn't the quickest BREW platform mobile device, but has no qualms running Opera Mini with fair enough responsiveness.

When the Nokia 5800XM was launched in November 2008, Android was still at version 1.0 and didn't have multitouch support, either. Multitouch was introduced in version 2.0 Éclair in October 2009. Symbian of course didn't gain multitouch until a year later still, in October 2010 with Symbian^3, so Android certainly got their first. Nevertheless, took Android about a year to become anything like the OS it is today.

The Atrix was ahead of it's time. As well as Ubuntu's goal of a phone/pc dock OS. But it will come; with more powerful SOC's and more x86 mobile chips. Windows 10 may be a real game changer.

opera mini latest version more faster than firefox for android, it can go fight with google chrome on android and i never got crush so far while my chrome sometime crashes itself when open heavy website. opera mini very save for those who want save ur data quota because compare to chrome this new opera mini can compress 90% website data than google chrome just 30%-40% only
