Why is Sony still making the camera 20.7 MP with the aperture at f1/2.3? That is why Sony is failing in the camera department. It should be like LG G4, galaxy s6, or at least f1/2.0.

AnonD-374603, 20 Apr 2015and im telling you sony will surly adopt the QHD screen soo... moreYes, it's obvious that Sony also will use QHD. Unfortunately this is a trend in the phone market. If a manufacturer releases a phone with QHD, then others will follow it, because they HAVE TO, because of the marketing hype (otherwise they couldn't compete in marketing).

But this doesn't change the fact that QHD is pointless in phones.

Z4 Compact and Ultra is headed to Indonesia but no word about the Z4, so who knows what Sony's strategy is at this point.

I would like to see a completely different flagship phone from them. The Z4 in it's current form isn't very exciting, although it is a good phone.

I have been a huge sony fan...even fanboy would be more accurate. But now i have had it to support this compagny who
1- removes their store from my country and leaves me to be taken care of by halwits with no customer service skills
2- my z2 and z3 looks exactly the same so no innovation there
3- i still dont have my lollipop update although i bought it at sony store with my Smartwatch 3.

as soon as the LG G4 comes out im grabbing it. sorry sony my heart will stay with you for the rest of my hardwares at home but as far as mobile goes you just lost me

Why are phone companies making batteries smaller just to have a thinner profile. Glad HTC and LG are still holding on.

Ale, 20 Apr 2015Master it's capabilities???? I don't want to master a sm... moreHe's just a fanboy who always stretch (or dismiss) the truth. He only sees what he wants to see and think others should see from his fanboy eyes or they're blind or making up stories. I'd like to say Z3 sweep panorama shot is garbage, but I know he would say something like no one cares about sweep panorama or it's for noob or something. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he even said Z3's sweep panorama is the best lol.

You know darkraver, it's good to be positive about the brand you love, but the way you're doing it, if more people are like you, it will only cause Sony Mobile to plunge to its demise (or perhaps that's your convoluted hidden intention?). Credits and critiques where they're due, there's no perfect smartphone in this world.

AnonD-378986, 21 Apr 2015I think most of the comments here have no idea of what they... moreI think you're mistaken. The article from yesterday (read the news story down the list) "speculated" that the Z4 wasn't the flagship, while this story is saying the opposite...clue: re-read the first sentence "fter many weeks of rumors and leaks, Sony has formally unveiled its next flagship - Xperia Z4. " and the bit at the end about "pricing in other markets"

Seems that gsmarena is doing a flip flop and there is still a bit of uncertainty

                              http://bgr.com/2015/04/20/sony-xperia-z4-specs-release-date-and-price/

However, think about this from the perspective of how Sony has released phones in the past, they've never worked on two flagships at the same time. If another phone is released in May, I'd expect it to vary only slightly from the X4. Reason being that from an R&D, manufacturing and marketing perspective it wouldn't make financial sense to have two radically radically different phones released within a month of each other.

Even the King of Multiple Flagship Models, Samsung, releases flagships that are built off the same core design and then they vary the features. In the Android space, I think only they can do that because their market share is so dominant and they have the R&D budget to go along with it.

I think most of the comments here have no idea of what they're reading. Sony launched Z4 exclusively for Japan ONLY. The real global flagship is another story. :)

I like how the asian companies are keeping their best products in their home countries. 1 it makes the US want them more, 2 they loose less money trying to cater to picky americans, and 3 If you have it shipped to yourself from the asias its a lot cheaper than having it shipped in bulk to the US and buying it from a third party carrier. (yes i'm an American)This sony sounds like my kind of phone.

darkraver, 20 Apr 2015Yes, Im sure, as shown in links below If you ever had z3, ... moreMaster it's capabilities????

I don't want to master a smartphone camera, I'll keep to my dslr for that thanks.

What I want from a smartphone camera is a quick reliable high quality shot, and the Z series has been a constant let down here.

The S6 is far superior in this regard, it's shots show lower noise, higher dynamic range, better white balance.

The S6 is better in low light (and don't go raving on about the Z3's 12800 iso capability, I mean have you seen the mess those shots are), is faster to focus and doesn't burn itself out whilst recoding 4k video.

It's not just my opinion, the general consensus is that the S6 has the better camera!

the battery should be more powerful....2900 is so cheap ....it should be at least 3200+ to give better experience to customers and also for better reviews...
I don't think so people will buy it...
