Again me. The Samsung gives just 100.000$ dollars for those who make it, but Apple gives you all the money you've earned. Who knows how many millions will Samsung will make with you're app. Because you wouldn't have the author rights!

Still the App. Store gives full opportunity for everyone to develop,no one is ignored, simply you and you're creativity! Go Apple guys! I know, maybe the iPhone compared to the Omnia II described down, is not that powerfull, but in usage it has no limits, so many types of apps. that you wouldn't have time to use them all.

Why Samsung didn't make their own sort of developers connection, why did the copy the Apple's idea? The App. Store is made by Apple and I think no one would beat them... They've already sold 2 billion! And there are more than 85.000 apps and still growing every day! Think clear, think Apple!

Samsung is giving us the best hardware ever on mobiles phone.. the Isheep cant do better!!! 4 e.g, OmniaII:800mhz CPU ISheep:500mhz, 5MP cam, Isheep:3.2MP (ice age techno LOL), Biggest OLED screen ever on a mobile... how bout this!!!... Divx, mp4 etc straite in the box... This baby dont even need more apps!!! Its already fully loaded!!! By the way, i cant imagie how AWESOME it would be if its got even more apps... Beware ISHEEP, Samsung is coming!!! n next Year Nokia will be 2nd best seller, Samsung 1st!!!

the only reason samsung posted this idea is because they release phones with great hardware...and NO apps to support it...by doing this, developers (if they actually do it) would then cre8 some apps for the phone, so the phone owners could use it, and as the guy below said...it's probly a gimmick n e wayz

Since of late, my observations,comments or replies never appear in this coloum.It is stranger than fiction since I do respect other peoples opinion and for sure never use foul language. Yet,this blackout,I wonder why.

I think its a great idea. look at the sucess that the iphone is enjoying mostly to its os and apps. way to go samsung a bit late but better than never.

how do you start making applications for omnia 2? what kinda "coding" is required?
What happens if samsung rips you off? Like that guy below says how samsung took someone's widget idea.

Well this is one very bold yet very good step for instant boost. Competitions like this can bring great talent out of their hideouts and its proven many times in past and they sure take a good step.
