i think a phone with thin bezels would be the best design rather than bezelless

can't imagine a decent casing for a bezelless design

i normally like bumper cases to protect my phone .... a bezelless design would probably make it difficult to properly protect the sides of the phone. a simple drop would probably crack the screen

      the display seems washed out.

I don't think it helps the overall appearance of a phone to offer minimal bezels if the top and bottom parts are too wide - they need to be narrower than this for the phone to look elegant and really streamlined. As it is, these pictures make the narrow bezels look too much like an afterthought.

not bezelless, actually S6 Edge is more "bezelless" than this thing...

AnonD-381558, 25 Apr 2015the problem with bezelless is: 1) sure its easy break 2) ... moreFirst it sovable by a case.
The 2nd is more tricky, companies should consider investing in r&d for serious palm rejection tech. Imagine a phone that only recognizes fingertips and rejects any other kind of touch.

That should be the future , accidental touches are a problem whether you have zero bezels or not, so developing proper palm rejection means no more accidental touch to *any* phone or tanlet. It would also allow for smaller phones (bezels are there for palm rejection mostly).

Mo0ji, 25 Apr 2015i dislike bezelless phones i think broke fast like 6edge Most phones without a case break fast anyway. If your phone wears a case it doesnt matter if it is bezeless or not.

AnonD-381558, 25 Apr 2015the problem with bezelless is: 1) sure its easy break 2) ... moreThe problems with extra thin phones are:
                1) It is easier to be bent.
                2) It can only hold small capacity battery.
                3) It is harder to handle it properly, risk of slipping

Nah they are going to make it thinner regardless. As long as it can wow the consumers visually. Same goes to the bezelless screen

                      the problem with bezelless is:
                      1) sure its easy break
                      2) hard to hold the phone. hold your phone, see where your thumb rest.

Sharp aquos crystal was the first to use this technology and everybody is making Oppo sound like there genius or something

Too bad it is only "bezzle-less" if you look at the screen directly, you can see the bezels if you tilt the phone.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2015hopefully it is at least 20% cheaper than S6 edge Comparing this phone to the S6 Edge totally is ridiculous. The S6 Edge has a function while the Oppo simply has no side bezels

opus25, 25 Apr 2015Now if only Oppo would work on their ROMs to be: a) Upd... moremight as well just be your usage. My nexus 5 gets 2 hours of screen on time at best too. and that is when I discharge from 100 to 0%. i usually charge it when it's around 20% and at that point i have about 1 hours 40 minutes screen on time. yet GSMarena rated it with 4 hours web browse time or something. and i mainly browse the web.

Now if only Oppo would work on their ROMs to be:

                                        a) Updated much quicker to Android updates;
                                        b) Much less thirsty on battery.

Until they fix ColorOS so that it doesn't aggressively kill background apps within minutes and the achieve way more than 3 hours SoT* from phones with similar specs as competitor models which get 4-6 hours.

*Not the R5 mind which is lucky to get 2 hours. Carrying a dead phone after lunch every day gets tedious quickly.
