Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S4 getting Lollipop OTA update

I noticed the past few days my phone's battery life drained so quickly. It wouldn't last me a day at work. I checked out what was going on and it looks like the google app from the new system update but if I try to uninstall the update for that app it requests to set back to factory settings which I obviously won't do. They need to fix the app to bring battery life back!!!

HATE the new update; the screens are very dull now and it eats the battery life twice as fast. How can I get my old system back?

Been playing with this update (5.0.1) on my S4 for several days now. This does not let you disable as many of the basic apps as kitkat did, so it eats up battery life (yes, even running the phone in safe mode). And still, the voice commands only work when you are connected to the internet. You can maybe tweak the color scheme in the accessibilities options. Now I wish I was tech savvy enough to root. Since I am not, I just ordered a new battery.

I've been waiting forever trying to get lollipop for my s4 in Trinidad. It is the worst. Just like kitkat os. My buddy got it and I had to wait like 5 months after to get the update. Kies is not efficient and OTA just as stupid

How do roll back to the old software? Please stop trying to fix what's not broken. I hate the new color theme, it's just awful. My old calendar widget has apparently been murdered, and I have to go into the apps tab just to get into settings. To put it mildly, I HATE this new update. It's the Windows Vista of Android! How do I uninstall?

Honestly, I don't like the color change so that everything is more bright. It makes these settings much more difficult to see for me. Also, the changing of the header for the different apps (such as messaging, phone, etc.) breaks the unification of the device as well as having the active section highlighted in an off-yellow makes it look visually unappealing.
It would be much better if it allowed users the choice to change or customize the header to the darker appearance, as well as the unification across all the app screens.
