I just updated my n97 with v12.0.0.26 firmware update. There doesn't seem to be anything different about the phone. Although they had boasted a kinetic scrolling interface for users, there is no such thing. I have seen however on a video posting on youtube that an older firmware update has it but not the latest. What is going on???? Nokia is really sleeping on the job.

guys if you have a nokia store around try to go over there and they are very happy to help you updating your softwere.. it work for me and i m happy with how the phone is responding now and this in it not from nokia ....

Hey guys,
Just thought I would let you know that NOKIA have removed the version 20 update from the website even though it still says you can update to it. The reason being has something to do with some UK networks not being happy with it... probably compatibility issues...

Use the Nokia Updater software available from the Nokia Website. Mine updated without any problems whatsoever.

No v20 update yet in the U.K. Suppose to come out in October... only 3 hours left before November!!! Looking forward to the update, but why not do a global update? I love my phone. Loved the Symbian S60 3rd Edition on the N95 as it was stable - but the 5th Edition is really letting the N97 phone down.
I'm hoping that the new v20 improves all the bugs and crashes I've experienced since day one... C'mon Nokia.... pull you're finger out and give us a stable, and fantastic update! ...make it worth the wait!

I cannot update software through the Nokia site using Updater. Seems like Nokia don't want us in Africa to get the new software yet, only for our Amercian and European cousins. Wake up Nokia or I will get another brand phone after only ever owning Nokia.
Is there any other way of getting the new software.

I am trying to update my n97 but it still is showing me that i am up-to-date, whether i do it by phone or software updater :S
