So currently i'm on AT&T. I'm sick of the service issues I have in this area, so I'm going back to verizon. The droid seems like an obvious choice.

I love my techy toys and sharing info / playing with new ideas on boards like this, so I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!!

I'm REALLY looking forward to being able to customize the interface and sounds on the device!! those restrictions drove me nuts on iphone!

If you haven't already, check out http://www.Motorola-Droid.org it's an awesome fans site for Droid owners.

And how about the sales of V3 vs. N76? Can you find any "new" N76 on the streets right now? Maybe to your surprise, V3 is still being sold in US as pre-paid phone for US$99, then I just saw the ad for V3 in Bangladesh last week.

And look how crap that phone was and still is
A good Marketing campaign always will always make things "seem " better
N95 was just made good , and nokia really sucks at marketing some of their devices

And looking at tiles 24/7 is honestly boring
        Lack of customizablity
And then your gonna hide behind the app store and then say jailbreak it so you can do more and.......blah ..blah..blah..blah
        Apple users are too obvious

And regarding the iPhone, it's extremely overrated. Sure, it has nice features and thousands of apps, but at a technical standpoint, it doesn't stand a chance. Then people saying the iPhone is teh best phone evvarrr, it's all a big misinformation. Consumers should know better.

Look at everything I wrote so far... nothing is as aggressive as what you just wrote.
I don't really think I'm the one that sound bitter here.
How can you consider the iPhone as a smart phone if it doesn't even multitask?
Plus i never said all the apps where bad... just 90% of them.
                Don't say I'm a nokia fan...
the last nokia I owned was the 5510... 10 years ago.
I usually go through one phone every 2 years or every year.
Doesn't matter the brand to me, I only go for what sounds best TO ME (It's a personal taste, I'm not trying to convince anybody here that my tastes are better than others)
I'm in contract with AT&T... so if I wanted an iPhone I would buy one.
As stated before, I LOVE apple products. I just think that the iPhone is overrated.

I dind't insult anybody here. Just sharing opinions.

calling me hypocrite and jealous over a peaceful discussion on phones only reflect one thing: you're probably in 8th grade.

i.e. Verizon states "iDon't multitask, Droid does", well due to limitations of Verizon's CDMA network you can't pull a webpage up, access email or use any application requiring data access while in a call.

The iPhone can and I often consult the net for various reasons while in a call.

The iphone outshines all of them because it is an awesome device. What campaign are you talking about that has nothing to do with its specs? The iphone is a popular smartphone. Something that made you bitter because your phone is not :)

Oh believe me, if the iphone was LG's product, it will get the same public response. If the iphone is Nokia's product, I'm sure it would get even a greater response. You would probably even like it a lot if the iphone is a Nokia product :)

What a hypocrite. You said that you would only love to get the iphone for its itunes and nothing else. So you will not even bother with the app store? Why? Is there a better app store out there? So will not use the iphone to browse the web either? Is safari that bad? Lol.

If you want your phone personalized, make one for yourself :) As for my iphone, I have better uses for it than personalizing its screens :) I actually have useful apps that really helps me get through the day. Personalizing screens are for grade school students.

Oh believe me, there are tons of stuff you can do with the iphone. That's one great thing about having access to thousands and thousands of apps. So I don't know where you got your idea that there's little you cab do with the iphone.

You said that 89000 of apps from thr app store are useless? Have you tried all of them for you to make such a bold statement? You're OBVIOUSLY bitter and jealous to make such a silly remark. No wonder.

But you did mention that the iphone is left in the dust. So I simply rebutted how can the iphone be left in the dust when it outsells other phones even with their unit sales combined. Well osx has always been boring for you, so what's new?! If you want to talk about android and maemo, then leave the iphone alone so you will not get reactions :)

The hype is more on the iPod capability, loads of apps, the pretty touchscreen and instant access to the elitist community.

The Droid however markets against this hype, revealing the stark truths of the Apple product. I say, the iDon't advertisements are pure genius. Way to expose the weaknesses of the "mighty" iPhone.

On that point, I agree with you. Sometimes companies DO release to many almost similar products at the same time.
I thinks it's especially true with nokia and sony erricson.
