It's wise decision to release Android M because it will not run on Java platform. That will surely save lot of battery, RAM, Processing power and Storage.

That's the only reason IOS can run smoothly with Dual Core processor.

Could be a new style of android like they have android "tv" the car version.. it could be based on something business/productivity related like they have the new google work apps folder now something maybe based on that line of scope or something for use like integrated systems such as pay points or even thinks like those computers used on machines ect...

cannot be 'mango' as that name's taken by windows a year back.
whatever that thing is, not to expect a huge upgrade. we are almost covered in all the sides with lollipop.
            Android 'Melon' sounds more sensible.
what-so-ever it is, Android will always remain a top OS.

                AnonD-10909, 07 May 2015and that's Google's fault? YES!

The Android manufacturers put on the devices at store shelves is not AOSP, it's a Google licensed version which has it's own terms and rules (like being mandatory to bundle all of Google's crap).

It's all up to Google to amend those terms to not only mandate their crap but also force them to upgrade the OS within certain mandated timeframes.

But then again, Google's business is big data. Their crappy apps give them personal data to sell, upgrading the OS does not.

AnonD-190634, 07 May 2015Milkshake? :D but anyway this kinda makes me worry :( i h... moreWell jou got it like yeaterday but the preview is out for almost a year and the official one like 6months so you really only have Samsung to blame. They need to create a build bot to merge all their code. I got AOSP Android 5 more than 5 months ago and for me this is something to look forward to, although with Android 5.1.1 already on my phone I doubt that this update wil be huge
