it's all a matter of preference, the moto doesn't need as much ram as Samsung to be just as quick, as for functionality, touch wiz doesn't have screen pinning, there are definitely things I miss, like a silent mode and a proper volume menu, all things considered, each to their own.
android in either stock or touch wiz form is still android nonetheless.

The bloat on Sammy phones is called functionality, Stock android is not as functional as TouchWiz, actually, in some instances, Android borrows features from TouchWiz, that's how functional it is.... as for the lag, well everything comes at a price

I used to have all samsung smartphones - from the day of the galaxy s1 all the way to the note3. I bought new devices every single year. Then I got fed up with their laggy interface - and now I sold my note 3 and bought a Moto X. It was the best decision ever. Finally I know that it is not android which has issues all the time - it is the customized software and added bloatware of sammy. The Moto X is clean - super responsive - never lags, and works like charm. It is really as clean and fast as an iphone with the added customization options of android. Im in love!
