I have a UK S6 Edge - and just received the update now...
Only had the phone less than a week (128gb Gold) and it's BREATHTAKING... zero stutter, zero lag, battery that is lasting me well over a day (REALLY heavy usage at the moment as you can imagine!) wireless charging is a dream...
I thought I'd never go back to Sammy just because they had become stale - I'm glad I went for the Edge - it's easily the best looking phone ever released (and most powerful) - no overheating issues either - bonus!! (I was planning on getting a Z4, but too little too late and only an incremental update) similar to the HTC M9...
In terms of this update with memory... my phone was always approaching 80% RAM used (even with few apps running) - and now it seems to be settling at about 60% now - so clearly some optimising has been done... not that it's affect the user experience either way to be honest...

That was a lie, a big one. S6 was buggy, even I bet that even now, after the update ,a two year old nexus 5 is snappier.

Hey guys I have got s6 edge(indian version) I am experiencing high battery level drops after just half an hour of playing modern combat 5 (80%-52%) even most of RAM is filled even if I killed all the apps. Is this is something related to memory leak ? What's exactly it means. Thanks

It doesnt mean it has sony sensor then it has the samw quality aa with Z3. Thats completely wrong. Sony has a verryyy bad post processing algorithms. They own the camera module but doesnt know how to fully optimize it.
Take a look at the iPhones, Note 4 and S6 they are using Sony sensors and images are miles better than of with Sony which is very awkward.

Great news. And it's only the first micro update on one version.
There are more micro updates to come and the 5.1.1 update as well.
This should bring more stability, camera features, battery, and maybe a hair more in camera quality.

hulk, 08 May 2015I've got s6 but my brother got the edge its to sharp edge d... moreYes I actually prefer the S6 as well. I don't see big benefits in the Edges. Are you happy with the camera? I got the Z3 last year with its "great" 20.7 MP camera to take pics of our babies but I got disappointed badly. I know, Samsung have great cameras but when I heard that the S6s are having SONY sensors in them, it made me think if I should buy it.
