It made the phones bigger (giant front bezels) without giving them a functionality that a pin code or a password doesn't have. Imagine if the ability to fill your password meant giant bezels, that's exactly how fingertip scanners "look". A colossal waste of space created just because people are not bothered to type. They prefer a wasteful phpne with bad ergonomics over typing . How silly of them, damn I'm angry.
