    What the...? 3.5mm audio jack in an entry-level handset? Why can't other manufactures like Sony Ericsson, Samsung, etc. can't do the same on their high-end mobile phones?

This would also be used in situations like robbery. For example, if the thief forces you to give your phone as they typically do, you can give this instead.
