Anonymous, 28 May 2015Yes I'll agreed with you that you're talking sh*t since you... moreThat clearly tells me that you dont even own a single Sony product as you are stating them weak and lousy products. in fact, Sony products are more reliable and durable than any other chinese/korean brand i.e. Samsung n LG. My current Xperia is over 18 months old and still working like a charm. Unlike Sammy n LG, they break down even in their first year of use.

AadiRizvi, 27 May 2015Oh you even know people from the HQ and they have told you ... moreYes I'll agreed with you that you're talking sh*t since you first started. And lol... you don't even know Sony HQ people are using Apple iPhone, not their lousy Xperia phones then you still choose Sony that even Japanese don't buy nowadays. That's very sad of you. For me and most Japanese don't worship Sony anymore their products was less creative and weak in design to meet customers demand. It's ridiculous to pay more price for lousy Sony products price above Chinese brands anymore. Whatever Sony has China brands having if not better and at much much cheaper price.

Anonymous, 27 May 2015Dude you keep on telling JOKE OF THE CENTURY, what's wrong ... moreOh you even know people from the HQ and they have told you that themselves? wow.
And i cant reckon the reason of your criticism to Sony? Whats your grieve i mean? That they sell less? oh yes that true. or maybe they fail to get Apple or Samsung-like market shares? thats true too. Or they make expensive phones? dude that statement is hell true even.
Regardless of all the above sh*t i just wrote above, i still go with Sony and will go with it till the day it is rising in the World. its not an egotistic statement, its just that i couldnt get any fun in any other brand. I'd pay ridiculously more to buy their name. be it a smartphone, a TV, a DSLR or the PS.
Do tell me if my comment still bothers you.

It's ridiculous bad joke that someone would talking about loyalty to Sony brand. Even Sony native country Japan with Japanese and most Sony HQ people ditches and stop using their own brand products, and yet Pakistanian people are talking about loyalty to Sony? What a JOKE. Lol....

And im from Pakistan, and i use an Xperia and a true Sony loyal. In my country, high-end Sonys and Samsungs and iPhone gets almost similar price tags but my loyalty remains with the most durable brand.

it's understandable for microsoft, but sony?

there's still lot of sony user here, when I take a walk around city I see lot people bring sony phones, probably second-most popular smartphone here after samsung.

I'm not sony user (I use HTC desire, I love HTC SLCD2 better than washed out sony screen), but I see with my own eyes there's still lot of sony userbase here, so I don't get where this Tomi Ahoe draw his conclusion from.

Distribution is poor too: until very recently, you could only get the Xperia on T-Mobile (Verizon was added just 6 months ago). By contrast, Sony phones are more widely available in Europe where Sony does decent marketing. In Europe, Sony Xperia has 7% marketshare, which shows that decent marketing makes a difference.

Mainly because when you type smartphones with sweatt hands, the fluid might mess up the responsiveness if touch screen. This does not seem to be a problem with traditional phones.

When feature phones were quite popular back in early 2000s, Sony Ericsson dominated the market.

But in smartphone era, Apple and Samsung dominate!

I think it is hard to get a feature phones considering that touch screen being the trend.....

We might see future phones with air keyboard pretty soon...time is changing.

Sony could recover phone sales if they would create smartphone with hardware qwerty keyboard, just like the sony ericsson Xperia Pro, but with more modern specs. There are still people like me who truly hate full touchscreen phones and forever refuse to buy phones that dont have hardware keyboard. They would rather choose a dumb phone with keyboard than full touchscreen smartphone. Touchscreens never ever beat hardware keyboards on calling, text messages, notes etc. Im talking from my experience after trying many different phones from keyboard phones and full touchscreen phones.

Good news, i was once a Sony fan but after wasting a lot of money on Xperia ZL which bricked for no reason, without any tampering, i was disgusted with the after sales service .As it was out of warranty they refused to fix it even when i offered money for it,saying company doesnt support ZL repair and i need to deposit the phone and BUY a new one from them @ 20% discount!!!!! Its appalling, they dont mention this NO-REPAIR POLICY when i buy from their retail store AND now they are forcing me to buy another of their crappy phone, while they take out the parts of my old phone to put it in other phones. Sony you will fail miserably for wasting our hard earned money.
