A holiday from technology??? Work of art rather than technology?? Lol, you have no idea how ludicrous and laughable that sounds!! Lol... You are funny! What "SE" calls a "holiday from technology work of art" I call SE trying to cash in on some of the relative success of the xperia line with a ridiculous piece of cr-p phone!

Hahaha... This piece of junk is back. WTF Sony ericson i thought this was a stupid persons concept for a phone. Lol odiot who think this is a breakthrough in technology, this is actually 10 steps backwards. No phone use this technology coz it sucks for a phone. You get this crap technology in cheap watches snd clocks. Imagine seeing your ear when making a call and imagine sunlight issues whit sun going through the screen making it impossible 2 read text msgs. This outdated technology looks like that of the 3310 long ago and it's specs are in that line 2. If you want a piece of art go for the samsung i8910 as its amoled screen will blow this away. not 2d unlegible graphics and pathetically hideous design. This would be good for a paper holder. 600 bucks are you kidding us SE, i wouldn't pay 10 bucks for it, i wonder which stupid peole would buy it. The manufacturing cost must be around 5% of the market price, What a rip off!

Oh, who cares anymore? These companies leak phones before the ones before them have been released. It's getting saturated and monotonous. I barely want to part with the $560 for an N900 for rumors of the next unit.

Not to mention when SE said there were stereo speakers on the Aino and there really aren't. They really need someone to check for these mistakes!

Anyway the pureness screams niche, totally..and I honestly don't know who would want a phone with a screen that is totally unviewable in sunlight. The see through thing is, in my opinion a total gimmick.

I'm a big SE fan, by the way and love my W995...

This phone does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. So even if they sell it for US $20, nobody except for the most stupid among us should ever buy it. Come on SE wake up, Nokia have 3.5mm audio jacks even on their very low end phones.

For all those who whine and complain... please kindly keep your comments to yourself before making other ears (and eyes) bleed...

This is about a breakthrough in technology!

Unless you have seen another of this type of screen (I doubt it), then THIS IS THE 1ST ONE IN THE WORLD!!

And if you can't (or won't) afford that much for this phone, hey, this phone is not for you... There are other people who can (and will) buy this phone, but maybe just not in your neighbourhood.

For SE - Keep up the good work!!
I wonder what else that they may have up their sleeves... ;-D

600€ for a phone with a ridiculous screen, with a ridiculous feature list? Come on, wake up Sony Ericsson!!!!!!!!!
It's not even beautiful or stylish, it's just a boring and very expensive marketing joke.
To all of you who want to buy this thing:
better invest the 600€ into some brains...

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2009Have you ever seen the painting from most popular painter? ... moreLOL. It's for snobs most of whom have more cash than taste (my personal opinion).

As for this phone - it has the looks of an elevated DECT phone, thus price should be 50-100 EUR.

This nonsense of a "see-through" display is maddening: all I can see is a see-through plate of glass or plastic in front of a usual (except colourless) display. I thought all phones had transparent plates in front of their display modules, otherwise how would we be able to read them? So much for "pureness" and "see through"...

who said it's gonna be an ultra technology phone?! SE, them selves said that this phone is a holiday from technology!

"Xperia™ Pureness, a simple design phone which brings together beautiful craftsmanship and the concept of “talk, text, time - a holiday from technology.
Xperia™ Pureness approaches the mobile phone as a work of art rather than technology."
