Since when did any mini carry top notch spec? Especially a galaxy mini. Which always had crap notch specs.
Only "mini" with top notch specs had been a xperia compact.

      this just sucks..
there are things that just dont connect.. if you are minimizing the specs of your flagship phone, then make sense out of it. to equip a 16MB shooter with a 16GB internal storage is a crime! booste the interal storage or reduce the MP count!

You lot need to take a pill chill.its all about ppl wanting a smaller screen with decent spects.and this fits the bill.but what i can gather ppl are asking for a 4inch screen meaning pocket size with decent specs and wont rob the bank.im a note 3 user 5.7inch screen but i still miss my pocket size phones that do the job just as good as a flagship phone !

Noone's replacing them now. "Battery-eating white notifications" - depends on the screen, for IPS display white is more economical. SD810? No way, it heats up like hell, even much larger device like HTC M9 is effectively hexa-core because tho A57 cores are deactivated almost all the time, the other two are clocked at 1,55GHz.

Loer resolution means better performance indeed but don't forget that Samsung uses Pentile matrix hich has 30% less subpixels. Effective resolution of this display is closer to qHD (960x540). That's barely acceptable in a $100 device and S6 mini is going to cost around $500.

Where is the variety? Even 'mini' phones are big now. They even call 5" mini! Try use the phone finder on this site and see how many 2014-2015 phones that are less than 5" that are not budget models. Compare with how many decent-specced 5.5" phones you can find. Wow.
