As a phone it is a brick.
As a mini-pc, it is very limited.
Moreover, battery life should be terrible.

Better get separate devices!

I love the configurability of the miniputer, both the speed and frequency. Even has a number pad, cursor & mouse pad. Ha. Kind of a bit much, but finally a unit with seemingly everything. Can't wait.

I was waiting for this to happen for ages..... I'm talking about selling a mobile phone with user-customiseble features maybe someone doesn't need a camera at his phone or doesn't want to play games on it etc etc

I was always dreaming like, for example, Sony Ericsson would come to sell mobile phones with no software on board and the user would select what he wants in the shop ("Cybershot", "Walkman" etc) where he buys it or at home. It still is a dream, though...

Phone Knowledge Good, 15 Nov 2009I am an industry insider and have been using this phone for... morelol prove that u hv used it for 3 yrs. and if u hv used it for 3 yrs y is it taking them so long to release? htc shift was available the begining of 2008. that had 7" and a keyboard with windows vista. so y is this taking longer and y shud ppl w8 to buy this instead? it still has all the disadvantages (one of which is its not as good as a notebook and it cant fit in ur pocket so its basically a useless mix of the 2)

I am an industry insider and have been using this phone for just over 3 years. This specal technology has existed but could not be revealed to the public so only the top flight people such as myself have been able to use it. Oh yeah, you will never be more knowledgeable about phones than me.

the processor is the AMD Geode and maybe the high end one is the AMD Geode™ NX 1500@6W processor at 1 GHZ,there is a higher end one AMD Geode™ NX 1750@6W processor with 1.4 GHZ that maybe the 7' inch unit use!

this all sounds v good but will it be able to fit in ur pocket? or will this end up more like the htc advantage and htc shift? this isnt the 1st time a phone company has decided to give a phone pc like os and pc like functions, but there is a reason y these r rare.

This is not a phone, it's a mini pc with a phone. It sucks as a pc (way too small and with limited hardaware capablities) and even if it doesn't suck as a phone, you will be paying a fortune for a phone with a pc of sorts. Either way you look at it, it's a bad investment. Need a small, portable pc? Buy a netbook. It's a lot cheaper and way more practical.

ITG is onto something here. I'd rather have Win XP on my handheld, than any other OS except Linux. Win7 is crazy and takes up lots of RAM. I think ITG is trying to do too much so this will never see the light of day.

They should just start with one size, one camera, but have a multitude of radio 3G frequencies on board.

The larger the sceen the better but at lease 4.3.
