I will come to the defense of Blu phones. In the USA, we have been tied to those phones that the carriers force on us. Verizon and Sprint are CDMA networks and have been vicious in tying their subsidized phones on their networks locking in users to their programs. It took an act of the US government to force the carries to unlock some of their phones to use with other carriers. I know a hundred people that have never heard of Blu, Xiaomi, ZTE or Huawei- high quality phones that the rest of the world gets to enjoy while we are stuck with overpriced offerings from Samsung, Apple and LG. I have had several Blu products and given that they sell on a low priced model, we are not going to get flagship quality but we do get some very nice products nonetheless. I for one, do not need to spend seven hundred dollars on a phone to boost my ego or buy into power and features that would be wasted on me. After all, I am just making calls, texting and web surfing. As for the RAM on this phone, it may be a bit low but that is only a critical thing when multitasking and gaming. The 8GB ROM is maybe a bit low for now but if Android goes back to allowing apps to be off-put to an SD card, there will be no problem. You might have a different opinion of Blu if you were to use one of their better offerings. The only thing standing in the way of this company growing is their inattention to software updating which leaves a lot to be desired.

AnonD-330399, 11 Jun 2015Two things I strongly believe: BLU phone's updates and that... moreYes sir, you're right. I've had some BLU phones, and BLU update promises are never real. A lot of their phone are still on JellyBean and they were promised to receive Kitkat (I was one of those phone's owners). Also their flagship was lunched with JellyBean in KitKat's era and the promise of the update was never real.
