How are they gonna fix it, by clocking it down? So basically you paid for a phone with SD810 performance and will get an update to downgrade it? Avoid the SD810! Get the LG G4 instead or an overpriced S6 and iphone 6. Mediatek must be smiling right now.

As i said before they make a phone like amateur. Many issue, no innovation, less feature and low quality. They only make phones they dont do 'research'. Trust me.. its because their CEO made a wrong policy. They focuses in cost-cutting.

I have always loved Sony but this proves that they are not expanding as they should in technology.
The Z3 has an issue of dropping signal bars if the LTE is on, and the are is not well equipped with LTE coverage. They acknowledged this issue and promised to rectify it, but so far even after Lollipop its the same.

Sony really need to gather themselves up. Currently they are nothign but a HuGE disappointment.

DenisXD, 14 Jun 2015It's just that they reached the limit of power in smartphon... moreIt isn't because smartphones have reached the height of power, its because Qualcomm didn't do their homework. Exynos 7420 is a soc with similar cpu clocks and type, but it doesn't overheat. Why? Because it's using 14nm transistors, unlike SD810 which uses 20nm transistors. Thanks to Qualcomm, many manufacturers are suffering, exept Samsung. Some people will say that sd808 is a mid range soc and is slower than sd805, while the rest say you can cook an omelet with SD810. Its your wish if you want a slow soc or a overheating soc.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2015LG G4 is faster and smoother and no over heating issue S... moreZ3+ is overheat but didn't lag, in other hand LG G4 is not overheated but lag a bit. I tried my friends LG G4 , there are bit lag when you go swipe window.
Also G4 battery is short due to QHD screen consume more power. That's why LG gave extra battery kit.

why can't Sony use back the same CPU as the Z3? if using a CPU and GPU with reduced power, should be reasonable to as for a price reduction.

It's just that they reached the limit of power in smartphones. They just don't get that they can't get to more power without increasing smartphone sizes, it's done! Limit reached. They should start focusing on making fatter smartphones for better cameras, deeper speakers for bass and bigger batteries! A bigger phone size will also enable them to come with cooling devices behind the socs to prevent overheat. Otherwise they won't be able to go any further in power.
                      It's just the limit.

The devise is generally GOOD, best specification in the market especially the Z3 dual sim.. But one other issue, I'm not sure whether or not Sony has noticed and found the resolution,? The device is occasionally SHUTDOWN!! And can not reopened!! Is anyone of you out there faced this matter and how to solved?

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is a big fail. Rather use Mediatek in the future, the H20 looks very good.

I had sony Xperia SP before. After least than 1 year used, it drained battery so fast, liking drinking water. And it heated up the phone as well. I'm an engineer. I suspected both software and hardware issues. Therefore I don't think it's simple Qualcomm chipset problem itself. Anyway, I'm not gonna buy any sony phone at least.
