Nice phone for maybe a month or maybe two (if that). Half of the screen would freeze or split while other have moved. Would get a little hot it seemed. I do believe the heat increased some in the recent days. It would work okaaayyy on moment, then not. NO response at all. Black screen....led notification lights would work still. Now, today...the LCD screen completely turned black. Nothing...nothing at now! I can't believe it. Heard anything about the recall. Maybe Sprint was the only carrier to receive this BAD batch? This is the worst.

A few weeks ago it started shutting off and I had to remove the battery to restart, sometimes several times in a row to even get it to respond to that. I end up doing a factory restart, not bad if you back your accounts and messages to the cloud before. I still have issues and the phone freezes with grey pixels and stripes. I have contacted the customer support at LG and am sending the phone back. Good Luck all...

I bought my LG G4 2 months back and on Saturday last week i picked up my phone to send a message I doubled tapped the phone to open,it opened but when I tried selecting a icon the phone froze and went static the screen had lines going across the screen light went dim and the screen was unresponsive.The power button would only light up the phone and I had to the battery out to switch the phone off.I have take the phone back to the store,they sent it away for an assessment to see what caused the problem,overall it is a good phone but I doubt I will take another one because it might just give me the same problem.

I bought my LG G4 phone about a month ago, and I too have been experiencing some lag. Like most of you I tossed it up to me being impatient so I let it slide. Then, one side of the screen started to freeze while I was scrolling facebook, or trying to listen to cool music on my spotify. My response? "Oh the duel window must be trying to open up." Just like that I dismissed this issue as well. Then, te frozen side of my phone went static and purple and was stuck like that. It wouldn't change and turning off the phone wouldn't do anything.
I was furious and I wanted answers (It didn't help that I was on vacation when all of this started happening). So I took my phone to a service center, and apparently there are a bad batch of G4's out there. (dun dun dun) Yep they are out there lurking. Sitting in your pocket or on your coffee table as we speak. What I would suggest is you get your butt to a store with your fancy schmancy G4 and have a technician take a look at your phone to see if you have a bad phone. LG is doing a recall on some of the phones. They will send you a new one (free of charge). and hopefully it's dandelions and buttercups for you, and your new G4. Now go frollock through fields of flowers.

I plugged my phone to my computer had to wait a little for phone to download drivers and connect; once it did i also got option to dowload LG Bridge. On LG Bridge there is an update phone tab and it said update available. I updated phone and it fixed all problems, overheating and touchscreen problems too. No longer misses touches when i tap knock code and all lags when i scroll up and down on webb are gone

I took off the screen saver that Verizon charged me $30 for and it works perfectly. I'm glad I didn't do the factory reset like the guys in the Verizon store told me to when they really didn't have a clue. In that case just say you don't know.

I bought the phone about a month ago and noticed the lag in the screen. I didn't think much of it because, I guess, I am patient. However, something I am trying to find out if others are having this problem is that half the screen will freeze. Additionally, it has gottten to the point where my screen won't work at all. If I tap or hit the button it won't work. Usually if I took the battery out and turned the phone on then it would work. Now nothing, so I will take it back to the store.
I am curious if anyone else is having the more extreme problems with their LG G4. I really like the phone and can deal with the lag issues if they will eventually come out with a fix for that issue. However, if the half screen freezing or complete screen failure is a common problem then I won't get another G4 if I will have the same problems.

I think this is something to do with hardware as i gave my phone to shopkeeper to put tempered glass after he puts glass on this problem started.

The touch screen is intermittent on opening by tapping. the other issue is that the screen goes black when a call is answered by either side even if the phone is not near your head. I have to touch the button on the back to open it or worse if you are listening to a voice mail, nothing will open it. The guys at Verizon said to try a factory reset. I'm afraid of losing everything forever even with a backup.

Hello,
I just bought LG G4, everything seems working fine, however, i noticed that upon cleaning/wiring my screen, the Knock on is no longer working. I need to press the power button at the back before i can access my phone.
I will return tomorrow the unit to the store and would ask for a return, since a lot of G4 owners are experiencing the same.

I was going to buy this device with closed eyes in India after reading a lot of reviews and now i am reading this problem i think that it is a model specific problem, now i am gonna test a demo set in a shop myself to check wether its there in my country or not and i dont think its gonna be there if it is i will stick with my G3 for sometime.

I've had my H815 for more than 2 weeks now... No issue at all so far. It looks likw this affects the carrier specfic models... Tbey like to play with the OS and add their apps to it...
