and im still using this phone now, and irish scanner is still awesome even its have been 2 year since its release

As I said, I could be wrong, and it does not have iris scanner, but a facial recognition software it has for sure.

Maybe they will announce one in autumn. This year Sharp has announced a cool device, that has IRIS scanner as well(if I seen right on a video).

I'm wondering why they have to backtrack to an older chipset.
Maybe because of it's price? If so, QSD 650 is the better choice.

Where was Nokia at that time with that technology? Fujitsu is making water resistant phones since 2007 if I am right. Nokia had how many phones with IP certification? Fujitsu is an innovative company, go and check a few things about them. :)

Im not sure what type or model they have used for the Iris Scan module but most modules nowadays are plug and play. It is easier to install and easier to sell to various OEMs.
However, different CPU chipsets have their own firmware which may or may not support these modules.This may include the bit rate processing and power allocation.
Not sure what the standards are for these modules.

Small accuracy deviation. Thats why the IR LED is there to equalize the accuracy with that of normal light usage

That nighttime issue is a thing of the past - a common concern to be precise regarding iris recognition usability at night

Fujitsu and even Sharp got their manufacturing and marketing of smartphones going in Japan, no doubt. So for class, I agree, Fujitsu is considered a key player in Japan. They are using IR Cam + IR LED with extra "light" power from the display.
They don't use the simple Iris snapshot anymore... that's old school technology from the distant past.

QSD 810 is still the cheapest but fastest 64-bit Mobile CPU out there with great built in GPU module.
Tegra K1 is the best but the most expensive while Exynos (Samsung and Apple) has alot of royalties to be paid.
Kirin is not yet available for non-Huawei OEMs and Mediatek has the worst GPU.
Intel is good so Im not sure why they chose QSD. Maybe it's because of the Core quantity and Core speed?
Other not so popular chipsets cannot leverage or surpass those previously mentioned.
So, as a designer with an average budget, QSD is still the most feasible one at the moment.

Best smart phone for user. Indeed, I am really impressive all smart phone from japan company. For example, Kyocera, Fujitsu. Furthermore, I like DoCoMo phone.Almost japan smart phone have good quality but high price. I want buy once to use but I only buy phone via hand carry. it is risk for use. I don't like so.
