The Fair Phone is really a good idea. It cam be repaired and extended.Very open source hardware.
And the camera is placed into the corner. 👍

      I think that's the idea, one day they'll have hardware upgrades so you only need to buy a part instead of a whole new phone

                This is awesome!!!!!
                The only big issue I see with these devices is that they are not what people think.
                They will still face the same fate as the next year or two pass and connectors are changed and newer hardware comes out that ends up not being compatible

                                Is it compatible with the Fairphone 1?

                                  This does look promising. Is it available worldwide though? Ordering components from Netherlands can be a bit of a hassle.

                                      looks like a better idea than project ara..you only replace what REALLY want to replace (want a faster chipset? replace the chip, NOT the whole chip module) and less chance of diassembling when you drop it (thanks to screws)
