Anonymous, 24 Jun 2015What canonical should really focus is chromebook like Ubunt... moreSorry but Linux on the desktop is better than Windows, It runs on basically all hardware low and high end, it supports 4K displays, why would it limit itself to cheap throwaway netbooks?? When it is doing a perfectly good job of taking down Microsoft as it is... Microsoft now has only 16% overall marketshare.. That's over desktops, laptops, tablets, mobiles, servers.. Linux has the majority at 72% (Android, Chrome OS, Linux Servers, Linux Desktops) and Apple the rest. Ubuntu alone has over 40 million users and Unity isn't even the most popular desktop!! KDE is so can you image just how many desktop Linux users there actually are out there across the 2000 odd distros ?

Out of the 20 biggest companies online, 18 of them are running on Linux and the other 2 which are bing and live both belong to Microsoft. Of the top 1 million servers online.. 96% are running Linux, the rest is split between Windows and FreeBSD..

What canonical should really focus is chromebook like Ubuntu notebooks (Ultra cheap notebooks) from Chinese OEM's. It has huge potential in the future. Ubuntu phone will be listless. Waste of resources and effort by canonical.

The design of this device looks phenomenal! My only gripe is that the phone has only 16GB of internal storage, which should translate to about 11 or 12GB available to the user. With no Micro SD expansion.. Although if it supports USB OTG then that might be okay for some people. Overall i'm excited about what Ubuntu is trying to do here, getting the phone in the hands of people that actually want it for the right reasons.

16GB without SD Slot is useless nowadays.
You will have max. capacity of 12 GB.
And then go with new apps...

If the device support OTG then it doesn't matter the lack of microSD
