C'mon SE,Why symbian? why not Android? Nokia has already awaken that using symbian for touchscreen is a dead end,that's why maemo come into nokia high end portfolio.
I've seen an Android smartphone and i think i'll choose one next time i change my phone,besides iPhone's Mac android is the best that offers excellent touch UI,unless apple come up with "iPhone 4G" i'll set my eyes on android.

Eldar is right. SE always overprice their phones. Its not that they are making bad products, its just the price/quality ratio compared to the competition is way too high. SE should listen.

kal, 24 Nov 2009User experience!?! Even with those nice colors and transiti... moreI DO have a Satio and I'm having a great time with it. In fact, it's much more enjoyable than the N5800 I had with me for a while and the N97 and OmniaHD I sampled for some time.
The Satio's UI is the best yet for S60, bar none. The new beta for Handyshell looks cool though.

Even with those nice colors and transition animations Satios's "S60 5th edition UI isn't to the best in class standards", then what are you suggesting? Those eye-candy colors and transitions are called user experience? Reading it from satio's comment section it doesn't appear that users are having a pleasant time with their Satio my dear. And by the way how many get to have that "user experience" before buying a phone. On the contrary most people look at the design and specs on paper first. The rest comes later.

it might have started off and probably backed by bias but thats just being human,
and SE really do need to start thinking ahead, in the artcle is he right that the phone will be overshot unless its price is less or the same as the OmniaHD when it comes out.
the specs are good, but Kurara, it was named so badly that its looks didn't stand a chance

It brings the most important thing to the table. User experience. Nokia's take on S60 is an eyesore and Samsung's UI's look as if a primary school student designed them. The Satio's user interface is VERY appealing and the Kurara can only improve it with the added speed.
User experience matters a lot more than paper specs in the real world. Some of the most talked about phones these days; the iPhone, the Palm Pre, the HTC Hero, the Blackberry Bold all have specs that are bettered by the competition. Guess what? It doesn't matter in the real world.
Eldar has time and again proved his bias against SE with bent reality, half truths and blatant lies. Anyone who still considers him as a person of integrity are just kidding themselves.

Personally I don't find anything wrong with that article. Regardless of what Eldar says, one thing is clear, Kurara brings nothing new to the table when OmniaHD is there in the market for quite sometime and the price is dropping. Yes it definitely brings smile to all SE fans because they are finally getting MicroUSB, 3.5mm jack and HD recording in one device. But for the rest of the users, what's new? Even design-wise Satio was good, X10 is great, but Kurara, just one word for it. No offense but its "ugly". I believe It's good to have more HD phones, we get more chices to make. If price is more or less same then that's the only comfornt we have.
But it's typical mind set of SE fans, that they cant digest anything that is critical to SE. They call them "haters". I remember many of these fans bashing OmniaHD when it came out, saying "we don't need HD in a phone, its unnecessary". I wonder how those same people now defend kurara. Truely amazing!!

every company just got pathetic
we all used to have a reason for being royal to our brands but recently its useless
just buy whatever phone you like, it doesn't matter what the overall specs are anymore, theres no ultimate all in one except for phones like HD2 and X10 but even they don have every single trade there is.
its pointless to argue about brands, just make fun of the phone and thats pretty much it
the Kurara is in the running for ugliest phone ever made, its got good specs but elder probably though it was scare people away anyway with its looks so who cares about letting people know about it

hm...i wonder if it's a lack of image stablizer or the person who took the pics just got some REALLY shaky hands...but most of those sample pics look blurry even without opening them...yikes!

It was a great party and lots of cool companies were awarded for innovations and business successes in the industry.
consumers had also voted for the best mobile phones of 2009 and I’m very happy that Satio was voted best camera phone and W995 best music phone.
Thanks to those of you who voted, it really feels great to see that so many people like their Satio!

I'm not referring to you as an employee in gsmarena or such thing, I am forwarding the msg to them. I know your a decent guy and your saying your opinion frankly. I respect your point of view, however, I still believe that gsmarena were never fair when it came to reviewing SE products. Also, I am not saying sony is innocent but at least they are not dirty! I mean come on why do you think sony in general not SE, became the king of electronics in the world. Because they care about their customers satisfaction. Because people do believe in their products and the high quality and durability that comes with this huge manufacturer. Otherwise they would not be this popular and have loyal customers worldwide.
