users in mind, so if people want a cheaper contract or phone, then this give options. its like say that bmw m5 cars are cool, so why make 3 series? got it? the other thing is, the new'x' series should be hitting the shelves very soon, so yeah, the n series is boring to some, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. please don't force yours on to others! ps, i use a se by the way, so i'm not some nokia lover!

Way to go Nokia. I love the colors of 6700 slide; finally finally finally.
Touch would have been an asset though.

lol these are such low end phones, even poor people won't buy these. Come on Nokia, get some more Maemo devices on the market. Where is the next N series flagship? The N97 and N97 mini are getting sooo boring now. The 5800XM is last year's phone and the N900 is too big to be used as a daily phone.
I bet Nokia will lose market share in Q4, thanks to the awesome Android phones.

This almighty brand seems to prefer spend the $ on promotion by punching out dozens of (similar to the past) models every month, and along with the (paid) publicity to various media.
The phones featured in the article are mid (if not low) end phones. If the same (class) phones are being released by other brands (like Moto), chances are they will NOT get reported here (and other media) with the same level of attention with the almighty brand.
No lunch is free and I believe some deal must be going on....
Then again, why the almighty brand loves to release dozens of so called "new" models every month? Do potential customers of the low/mid end segments really care if the "new" 1600 is really better than 1100, where to the user as long as the phone can connect and make SMS, nothing else, including the torch, would make any difference?
I've heard many so called "old models" (but totally brand new) phones are being sent to the landfills, so to make room for so called "new models".
If the almighty brand continues its preferred practice, chances are such will be the reasons why they will soon lose out to its competition.

First Quarter 2010? In Nokia months? I've learned enough from the E72. I guess that means you'll be able to buy it around November or December. Happy Christmas 2010!

i think nokia does not have the guts to come upwith an 8mp camera, while the rest of the world is moving ahead. Shame on u nokia !!!

I think it's a nice phone, even though I wouldn't buy one. All the people slaying off Nokia right now would have gone mad in a positve sense if Apple would've come up with the same sort of phone. and the one's moaning about the 2.5mm jack... get an adapter on ebay for £0.99 and the problem is sorted, but as I said, it's a Nokia and not Apple where it all would've been cool and great and the flaws overlooked, so see in perspective to the price and calm down or get a N900 and you got you overhyped iphone comparision.
The only thing which is really going to suck is the battery life.
