Made in India or in China or Japan or anywhere as long as Sony can price their phones competitively then they will have a chance to regain market share. Sony should have an answer to xiaomi or Lenovo cheap but with premium specs phones.

Sony was good until it had collaborated with Ericsson group, everrsince its seperation from the ericsson group sony has come into a huge loss...

The savings in labor cost alone is enough to look into it. The question should Indians feel happy or insulted because this article pretty much translates as "China getting too expensive, Sony looks at India". In China for the last 10 years and most Chinese still don't understand the only reason why so many international companys do business here is for the cheap labor and nothing more.

Problem of manufacturing in India, is bureaucracy and unwanted interruption by politics. Otherwise, quality of product is definitely better than Chinese one. I rarely use proper European or american brand made in respective region. so don't know much except Nokia, which are made in Finland. I have started using made in India brands [not labelled in india] in last 8 months, like toys for my kid, apparels, fashion things, watches. And i believe they are definitely better than flooded Chinese products in market. Though, my actual experience is limited for not more than 20-25 products, so can't tell much. But yes, in day to day life, they are better.

The problem with manufacturing any product in India is - India is all about quantity - not quality... Most products made in India are usually of inferior quality as compared to a similar product made in China...
Again, who knows.. I hope I'm wrong... Hopefully India will prove itself more than capable of producing quality products...

its not depends on the place where its manufacturing. the products should be in good quality .the service should be good
