mark03, 28 Nov 2009the screen is so small!!!small? do you want to carry a lap top with you as a cellphone?
well, the screen is considered to be standard in the market today. Of course you can find bigger screen,e.g. HTC HD2 is 4.1" but that means your phone will be bigger.

I am absolutely giddy about that OS on this phone. Hopefully this phone gets a full qwerty keyboard before it's released and it gets TMobile's 3G frequency. If that is so, then I'll be buying this device.

Their main website www.else.bz is a STUNNING website with some great ideas but doesn't really show much...

The other website www.firstelse.com has lots of screen shots and stuff to give a better idea of what the phone does and how it works so check that out

Only time will tell but I'm quite looking forward to seeing more on this :)

I like this OS. It's really cool. Now if TMobile picks this up, I may get it.

i think i'm sold... just need to see a review so i'm more convinced... ui is just mind blowing, and the OS, well, its linux so its supposed to be powerful... hardware design could be a bit better but bottom line is "wow where did it come from ?"....

Having tried different Operating Systems: Apple, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android, all I can say is that ALL of them are here to stay.

Symbian: versatile OS that will continue to dominate due its flexibility to be integrated in mid and low-tier devices. Nothing can beat the product volume approach. Affordability is key. OS highly optimized in processing high data traffic and good battery life on top of 'limited' CPU power.

iPhone: snappy interface with a rich app store but suffers in the phone department: poor reception, bad battery life, no multi-tasking, limited sharing capabilities via bluetooth.

Windows mobile: builds on the strong integration with windows desktop OS. Rich application base. Native software build modifiable by manufacturers and ideal for corporate deployment. Sophisticated UI not appropriate for average users.

For everyday ease of use and abuse, I'm going to stick out with a Symbian device. For work, multi-tasking and open options is key: I'm going to stick with WinMo with its integrated applications.

nice info i'd just like to add theres also a LED backlit LCD, which is just brighter image

the only thing that sucks is the sunlight visibility, the N85 is useless in the sun.

but some LCDs are pretty amazing, i had my friends N79 for a few days and man has that got one of the greatest LCDs i've seen on a phone.. i've had N95, N78 and trust me the N79's color and black depth were on par with the N85's amazing and best part was it did't disappear in the sun
