I like this new Nokia alot. I would rather spend more money on a Nokia then buying any other brand due to the fact you can use a Nokia for 3 years and still have everything working perfectly. Unlike some other brands eg Sony, Moto, etc which burns out the radio card, loose brightness of display and poorly designed touch panels and have batteries which if you do some research you have to replace every 12 to 15 months as they struggle to understand the concept of having having power controllers connected to the parts that uses the most power, radio card and display.

Yeah, it's expensive. But it is nice. If it's too expensive for you then the answer is to buy something else. There's nothing wrong with a manufacturer making a profit now and again!

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2009lololol 450 Euros? Let's see how many they sell once the SE... moreim not a nokia fan at all and i still say that even their flagship phone n900 sux in comparison to what some other companies r offering (satio, x10, hd2, milestone, idk what lg's flagship is but at least they hv nice ideas like the crystal). i wud much rather get the x10 but i seriously doubt SE x10 will be 450 euro or even if it is, the price of this wud hv gone down a lot by then.

"Ripping Yarns" Nokia you are company who are losing ground with the others an Sales are falling, then you do the stupid thing release a mobile with a price tag to much over the top, they used to a company who cared about the public, but not many people will stay with Nokia now an look elsewere for a cheaper an better functional mobile,i bet Nokia in 2-3 months time will be releasing a X6i with a cheaper price tag on it,thats another thing that annoys you nowdays with Nokia, you buy the first release then produce a much better model, but the X6 will be the opposite release a cheaper version of it as the sales of the X6 will not reach Nokia targets

Yep, X6 is indeed the Nokia 5800's big brother. It's 5800 + new homescreen + capacitive display + 32 GB + 5Mpx Camera - microSD card slot - stand - case. @ 450 euros, it's even more expensive than the Samsung Omnia II. This featureset should retail at 300 - 400 euros.

              Worthy contenders:
              1. Nokia N97/N97 mini - depending on your market, these devices cost around 350 - 400 euros (converted from Philippine pricing (Php 26-28,000)
              2. Sony Ericsson Satio - 12MP camera, S605th ed OS (if you don't mind the absence of a 3.5 mm jack)
              3. Samsung Omnia II - great screen, powerful processor, user-friendly interface, integrated DivX support.
              4. If you're into Music that bad, buy an ipod Touch and download music for free from the internet through "other means" :).

Nokia has always been known to be great at optimizing functions and processes in lieu of limited resources (ie RAM, CPU). Most functions run smoothly w/ no hiccups.

When Nokia says "Multimedia Device", it means camera and images only (and a little bit of internet). Nokia stills struggle at playing hi-bitrate videos especially DivX/Avi files in their Symbian phones.

2009 onward is about multimedia where video is a very integral component. While 3gp and mp4 does the job, avi and DivX are the mainstream formats. The X6 is a half-hearted multimedia device.

And oh, the picture gallery needs as much refresh. A number of feature phones have already beat Nokia in this arena.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Nokia fanboy but I'm dying to see changes worth my buck.

Here comes one more disaster......he he he..... I think 5800 Xpress Music also have same specs.... Just it has 3MP cam and resistive touch screen....... Nothing else difference....... I think nokia is just putting extra price for its on board 32 GB memory........ iphone is better than this one.....

Nevertheless, Nokia X6 sounds like a great multimedia device and it will get even greater when the price starts dropping..drop straight to the grave and RIP nokia.

Just another iPhone wannabe,i gotta admit my 3Gs specs.is lower than any new smartphones yet it stills solid hold the ground against them cause it has things better than any of those, but this x6 is a great humiliation for nokia,so many time developing an under rated phone,a desperate move from ex champ.

I was very interested in this phone til a saw the expected retail storeprices here in Sweden. They sell unlocked for 5000 crowns here in Sweden, thats 500 Euros, which is way to much in this category! Then i would rather pay 40 Euro more and get a unlocked N900. But hey, the Iphone is ridiculously overpriced to point of comedy for what you get, so it's not like we haven't seen it before.

Might be goin for the Bleckberry 9700 instead.
