new apps from google require always connection and gps position!

got update
but battery life is shorter.
and sometimes happens I can iron my shirts with motox 2013!!!
when under 3g can fry eggs on screen surface
the past OD was quite better from these POV

after the update the battery is draining like 1% per 5 minutes.
its very annoying to see such a well performing battery is running out so fast..
some app crashes and gta game crashing all the time.
pls motorola fix the battery issue.

I got my update last night! Liking it but still getting to know some of the new features! Would've loved more gestures for Moto app than just the twist for camera one!

I updated my Moto X 2013 to Android 5.1 yesterday. Nice look and feel. Feels bit faster than 4.4.1 kitkat. Happy with the update.
PS: I didn't do factory reset after update.

It actually rolled first to UK O2 units, the retail version that is, not the soak tests. If you got issues, so factory reset after update.

I updated to 4.4 to 5.1 on moto x 2013. YouTube is lagging. Camera does not work at times. Touchless control comes on randomly. And some apps freeze. Never happened on 4.4. This update scheme is money making as they want you to update and chuck your phone away and buy the latest product. My advice is to be careful

mav3rick, 02 Jul 2015a friend got his 5.1. Says it ain't as fast as before ;(Ditto just updated. Contacts lags when pressing a contact to text but may need a lil adjusting. 5.1 is also quite different to 4.4.4. Slight learning curve
