Xiaomi sold
- 11 million phones in the first quarter of 2014
- 26 million phones in the first half of 2014
yet they hit 60 million smartphones in 2014

with sales & factories already in operation in India & Brazil, I see them capable of reaching their target this year & more.

Beside, you only see many other phone companies lowering their price & after Xiami emerge into phone market, which we need to thank Xiaomi for this...

"Now tell us how much they made "profits" out of cheap phones"

If Mi Phone selling at 35% of iPhone/Samsung make a lot of "profits", how much "profits" then you think iPhone/Samsung make?

Genius, 03 Jul 2015Yes, Xiaomi and Samsung cannot be compared as Samsung is fa... moreDisagree.
I've both Samsung Note using for pass 2 years & Xiaomi Hongmi Note using for pass 1 year; color of the side of Samsung note came off badly after 1 years but Hongmi note still holding as new.
Xiaomi phone build is surprisingly in high standard, & with the fraction of the price of Samsung, it is a no brainer.
Apart from hardware & price, the bid hit is the MIUI, whic come with many good tools/utilities build in without ads, while you need to install if using other UI.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2015Xiaomi is not Samsung standardsYes, Xiaomi and Samsung cannot be compared as Samsung is far inferior if you look at the quality of product offered for a set price point.

To get a product of comparable quality with Samsung, you would need to spend 3x the cost of a Xiaomi.

That is a number really impressive.. I think Xiaomi brand can develop more and more. The quanitity sell out is approximately Samssung S6.. But with suit strategy and marketing xiaomi become No.2 phone in the worl.

Now where is that Mi Note Xiaomi promise to launch by Q2 in Malaysia, Xiaomi madw too many empty promises, Mi4 delayed for 6 months & end up only 3G version, now Mi Note another delayed, probably only launch by year end when the phone reaches end of products life cycle.

Hmm, did they not say that they would like to sell a 100 million phones in 2015? If so, Xiaomi better get their game going. But still, respect though!
