Ive bought the phone and been both using camera, playing and different apps that run togheter with wifi or mobile network, it gets abit warm but not like most have typed here.
Good phone for the amount of money but ofc also getting abit afraid after have read the comments in here since the issue might also appear.
Also running latest software update for phone , since I did all the updates looks like its not as when I just started it cause the heat was noticeable much more then.

please someone who actually has a z3+ updated to MM and has actually used the phone for sometime give us details of how the phone handles itself.Planning on buying the handset now its very cheap same price as C5ultra(too big) and Xperia XA (beautiful, dont like the mediatek SOC)
most people who post are just from updating, haven't played a game or used camera ..etc that doesnt help us...i have had sony phones in the past and after an update it may take days for phone to stabilize in terms of performance....

Hi guys I've also had the same problems and then some with this phone, I believe the lipo battery has swelled in my phone which has cracked the rear glass and is pushing my screen out in the top right hand corner, I've also had a shock off the phone, I've spoke to ee who said they will have a look at it but I'm concerned this will happen again with this model I don't even use the phone that much and it's normally in a thin case so it's protected and shouldn't be overheating this bad it's uncomfortable to hold after 3 seconds when it gets hot and my firmwares upto date quite worried at the moment due to shifts of when I can drop the phone into a local ee shop so I can have a loan phone while they look at these issues the phone actually wiped an sd card too and refused to read it after which was annoying so I got a new one and its working fine now

Anonymous, 26 Jun 2016Z3+ is still heating after updating 6.o.1.....what should i do?On 6.0.1 heating is solved...but how???
You must have brightness on 30-40% with adaptive brightness on, nfc,location.... turn off..and most important, when you want to record video use HD (1280*720) heating is minimal like other phones. For all other things definitely heating is solved becouse you must on task manager shutt off all backround apps allwasy when you want do something hard...facebook, surfing on 4G and others common thing.

I do not own this phone or any of the Z series, but I guess the heating problem is enhanced by the glass back and front (glass being an insulating material or poor heat conductor). I would suggest covering it on aluminum foil as a part solution for this issue (aluminum being a good heat conductor). You may as well sink it in water for a while, whatever suits you best. I've been considering between buying a Z3+ or a Nexus 6. The heating issue doesn't seem as a desirable condition, but the phone is really tempting.

Hi people, I just bought z3+ saturday and the phone has android 6.0 with build number 32.1.A.185. Although I read comments before i buy, I was really not expecting this much heating. So i got 10 more days to give it back. can anybody with update 6.0.1 tell me if I should wait for update. Does it really solve heating problem ? or should i just give it back and buy something else
