Here Still Rocking a Galaxy S4 since a year and a half IMO Samsung is trying hard to make its device looks good but forgets that you sacrifice the performance in favor of the looks,,,, which in my Opinion is bad Also LG G4 looks like a G3's retarded big brother which is far from being called an Upgrad

        Actually, this report IS true.

Many markets have reported that the Samsung Galaxy s5 is getting a second wind, with more and more people flocking to buy it. There are actually a number of reasons for this:-

        1) The price of the s5 decresead, so a lot of people have actually started buying it now.
        2) It runs 5.0 lollipop and it will definitely receive Android M.'
        3) Unlike what most people say, the s5 actually suffered because it came at a time when phones being sold were very fashionable and different like the One M8, iPhone 6, G3 etc.
People had got bored of all the hype surrounding Samsung and were disappointed when the S5 practically looked the same as all other Samsung's. This led to it's quick downfall after the initial high success.

        4) Looking back, s5 actually has a lot of good features and some extra ones. Indeed it is a TRUE SAMSUNG phone unlike the s6. It's plus points were the superb battery life, the only "normal" waterproof Samsung (Active versions are not normal ;-p), good camera, optimized software compared to earlier Samsung's, and a power efficient screen. \

5)Also when samsung released it's s6, people realized the importance of removable battery and SD card, and embraced the S5 with both arms. If only the new Samsung's had FM radio.

looking back, the s5 seems like an ugly duckling, but know it has truly turned into a beautiful swan!!!

So many conflicting US-based Consumer Reports.
Which ever trend is true do yourself a favour and get the phone you like.

No matter how much one aced the another, at the end of the day, sales still matters most.

[deleted post]Oh at least show is which "report" and their methodology, nowadays anyone could publish stuff on the internet and people would believe it...

How funny when I'm itching to ditch my Galaxy S5. I was right all along - I should have just gotten the Note 4 (instead of the S5). And when I sell this eventually, I'll get none of the phones mentioned. I'll still get the Note 4! ;)

I mainly use an iPhone 6 Plus, but I do have an S5 as a backup phone and can easily respect this decision. The S5 may not be an ultra sexy design, but it is quite respectable looking, the screen is still outstanding, the replaceable battery and extra memory have been very welcome on a regular basis and the waterproofing has 3 times proven a possible lifesaver. The thing lasts forever and a day if you use it for calls. Call quality and music playback are - I hate to say it - a bit better than on the iPhone. Sure, it's not as smooth and integrated as the iPhone and in many ways it's just a huge lump of features chucked together with "Lets hope some of this sticks!" attitude, but in the end this is a great phone that gets so much of the essentials very right and I am pleased it finally got some recognition.
