you are not right, these are the minimum to be the best phone in 2010, Arena Max should be better than Omnia HD at least.

                  its not a smart phone

when will LG learn, feature touch phones where, are and always will be useless junk

i don know why people ever cared about getting a Touch Wiz once they've used one

the 5800 with its simple as hell OS feels better than Touch Wiz or the overated Arena UI

but thats just my opinion with these kinda phones, please feel free to bash the as you like cause having an opinion is illegal these days

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2009Some of the stuff you mentioned really isn't necessary... ... moreof course the fingerprint reader and numbr two Xenon flash was a joke. but LG has big plans with AMOLED (and digiTV http://www.i4u.com/article14971.html), and it's time to change the video recording resolution to 720p (LG Louvre), you can remember the Arena was the first with 480p, the Viewty was only with VGA rec.

I'm sure the TV receiver won't be in it, next time maybe (LTE, WiFi/n, USB 3.0 as well). becouse 2012 is comming, and than in Europe the analog TV is will be closed, so the focus will be on the digiTV.

                            Fingerprint reader? Seriously?
Besides you can be sure the device won't have HD video and HdMI, it's nto a camera phone, lg reserve those things for their viewty devices and the like, and they don't have them yet.
Arena max surely won't have it as HD generates loads of hype...
The tv receiver doesn't work everywhere, and AMOLED has never been used by Lg before and I doubt whether it will be used now.

the processor could be a good point though.

The latest Viewty was similar to Arena with a few upgrades.
Now launching another phone as Arena only means they wants to encash on the brand.
It'll probably be a phone with a larger screen. I don't think LG will have a well known OS (like WinMo or Android) on board because they already have launched their App store, they're just bringing out more product to support the app store and vice versa.

Whilst many manufacturers are positioning themselves in the market for devices running on smartphone operating systems and the supporting application stores that will service them there are many consumers who want simply an effective feature rich device that might run on a proprietary operating system but which will have the advantage of stability such as LG's recent offerings and Samsung's Jet. LG may well by not ignoring this important mid range segment of the market become the market leader for feature devices.
