It has to do with technical ability. Most of the people that have iPhones are idiots when it comes to doing technical things. They are simple-minded folks, technically speaking. They just want to text message, post to Instagram and play their music.
These people are not big technology users. They are the casual types and grandmas of the world who need simplified devices.
Most people misunderstand Apple's edge. It's not that iPhones "just work right", it's that they are simplified and dumbed down to the basics so that most people can use them. Give an iPhone to a technically sound person, and it's frustration and proprietary restrictions galore.

Most phone manufacturers take a leaf out of other manufacturers books, Android manufacturers do this with other Android manufacturers, Apple do this Android manufacturers, and Android do this with Apple.

Honestly, the warring fan factions going on in tech are just obnoxious, and make the internet around major release days something quite horrible to behold. Maybe it's because I left the whole "my X can beat up yours" on the playground but I find the whole thing tiresome.
Guys, people like different things to you, and that's ok! Let's just move on with our lives rather than mud sling at people with dissenting opinion.

The iPhone is not priced any different to high end Android phones. So that argument is ridiculous and clutching straws for the anti-Apple brigade. I think the iPhone is still an incredible product and despite it's lack of revolution for the iPhone 6S, it will still attract consumers. Why? Because it is mainly aimed for people who have an iPhone from 2 years ago, so Apple plan their changes in small stages, rather than completely change things over. The only massive leap for them was from a 5S to a 6, as the screen was bigger. But people who slate Apple are doing it with clutching straws. There is nothing wrong with an iPhone, it suits people who do find Android to their taste. The same way us Android fans do not find iPhones to suit our tastes. That's right, I am an Android fan and have my trusty HTC M8 as my only main phone.
