MartyZ, 15 Jul 2015Samsung fallows apple footsteps, I'm rocking note edge and ... moreI'm looking to upgrade and loved the note edge look but decided to wait for the 5. I have a note 3 now and have enjoyed the device my friends say wait for the 5 but it wasn't going to get the edge like the note edge has. I've been told the edge really doesn't do much. That really doesn't matter to me I have a Rolex it doesn't do much either but it makes a splash. So now I'm stuck go for the note edge which is a great phone and looks awesome. Wait for the 5 that doesn't really look like it has any new amazing features or hope the edge plus is better than we expected.

Raj, 15 Jul 2015...ever heard about cloud storage...Ever heard about limited data plans, slow speeds and simply being somewhere with slow or no Internet connection?
Mobile Internet infrastructure just isn't anywhere near good enough yet, and more importantly why the Hell should I put all my data on some server just waiting to be hacked or the service goes down when I could have everything on an SD card.

I like Samsung, have nothing against IOS or WP but prefer the custom on andriod. Personally I dont care about removable battery as I have had a PowerGen and Bar for any power needs. Used it for my Note 2 and 3. However I have large files on my SD Card which would take forever to retrieve with Cloud Storage & it's not ideal when out and about on Data. Even 4G would take a decent amount of time. And even if the file writing or memory is fast I dont want to be running to my PC everyday to transfer things. So for me no SD means a Note 4 Upgrade.

Also IMO the removal of these features will probably impact there own fanbase more by people choosing other andriods (LG, HTC etc) or even IOS rather than people being drawn away from Apple to choose the new 'premium' design Note 5. Which is really a Samsung iPhone 6s+ if the story/report is correct.

no need to argue about necessity of these features..answer is so simple..replaceable battery and microsd slot are choises of the most android users..like me..i can not use a device without them..i did not, and i will not..samsung must decide to produce these devices to whom...s6,n5 and s6+ are not for me..android users don't like restrictions..
think twice samsung..otherwise fall is near..remember nokia..

                        aesthetics over functionality.

we do appreciate the high end specs. but please samsung, don't ruin the name of your company by copying others strategy! you need to learn from the needs and suggestions
                        of your consumers!

Dodo, 14 Jul 2015Yep. Welcome to the second decade of the 21st century.... ... moreYou may be correct on your part, but m from India dude. We still struggle to get 3G network in capital city of the country, and using drive is useless as Internet here is costly and limited. 1GB data, that's all we have for a month. (ya ofcourse rich kids have alot more to spare, but majority don't).
And for battery, i don't want to go to service center to replace my battery as they will charge 5 times the actual cost of popping a battery yourself. Plus the Labour charges extra.

I know ppl from US n UK won't understand this but an Indian will surely agree with me. :)

Yawn, higher specs...Who even cares by this point? Especially not the Android devs who ain't stupid enough to write F2P apps to alienate 90% of their audience just to cater for high-end phones.

High-end Android is dead, get over it Samsung.

Samsung fallows apple footsteps, I'm rocking note edge and was hoping for next version to be curved as well, apple doesn't bring nothing new to the table and is asking top price? Maybe time to give the coming up Xperia one more shot, in my opinion that's the hottest design on the market today, and way cheaper than competition.

Im at Note 3 user, even though there may be no expandable storage or removable battery, as long as the specs are good and the battery has a good endurance rating and the design of the actual phone is nice looking, then it will still be a great phone.

shame on Samsung! ! no sd card slot . . the main reason y people buy it. . . . who needs to measure thier hear rate . . . Samsung needs to prioratise on what the users need more. S.d card or heart rate sensor. if theyr lookin at cutting extras down. y cope apple always.

Its a shame they didnt launch an edge variant of note5 with all the specs of note5. S6 edge plus is just a disappointment. It would be interesting to see how s6 edge+, s6 edge and note5 compete in performance. Why cant sammy just give performance, edge and display size in one single phablet variant and naming it "NOTE 5 EDGE" !!!????!!
