Huawei Nexus tipped to come with SD820 SoC, 5.7-inch QHD display

The leak also says that the handset will feature a fingerprint scanner.

There were a couple stories I saw yesterday on Phone Arena (although I don't know if I find Phone Arena all that reliable) that quoted a source from China that said the Huawei Nexus will have the SD 810, and not the SD 820, because the SD 820 will ship in December. This means that it won't be in any devices until March 2016--and the first device named was one from Xiaomi. Now, who knows if that source has dealings with Xiaomi, and is giving them a plug? So, I'm skeptical on this.

The other story from Phone Arena says that the SD 820 also has overheating issues; it mentioned this tweet from @Riccolo1:

SD810 and his successor are NOT so different in terms of HEAT ISSUES..you have to WAIT for the 830 (P. Q3-16).to "partially" solve this.. :(

Again, who knows who to believe? I'll reserve judgement. I just don't want any phone with the SD 810 in it.

I wouldnt mind if the phone screen would be 5.5inch as long as there is no bazel and screen would be from top to bottom edge and from side to side edge.
As mic is on the buttom edge or inside of the charger port so can be the speaker for calls on the top edge on the side next to headphones port. If you hold your device close to ear it does not matter on what angle the sound comes.
I am going from 4inch to 5inch in a few months.
Think of how small you can make the phone.
If people want bazel then they can buy app that makes the black screen for bazel look and touching wont work on the bazel, exept the buttons that are on the bazel.
I dont care if my phone is 130mm thick for more battery then it's flatten with 70mm tichk and with the screen size plus bazel make it like a tablet on your ear when calling people.
Or then would need to carry it around with a bag and use headphone and then look more silly when answering phone and tol. ( "tol" as "talk out loud" )

If a 5 foot little girl can use, and prefer, a Note or iPhone 6 Plus, you should be able to use a 5 inch phone properly. Unless you're just stupid.

People seem to forget that Nexus devices are the first to get software updates, regardless of who makes the hardware. Also, the rumors are that LG will be making the smaller (and I gather cheaper in price) Nexus at 5.2", so you'll be good to go. :)

Funny how people are worried about Huawei not updating fast enough.. please remember that Google is in charge of the updates for their phones. It will get timely updates just like any other Nexus. I do however hope they push out 2 devices. A smaller 5.0 to 5.1 inch device and a 5.5 - 5.9 inch device. I'm not used to Nexus phones being so damn big, i want a regular size smartphone running the latest version of Android. That would be great.
