Why complain about the pricing? We all know that Samsung phones will drop drastically after a few months from release date. So just wait for that time and the price will be worth to buy it, no need to complain. Don't hurry to buy, this is not a race to who owned it first.

Who in their right mind would buy this, rather than an LG G4 for example? The 16mp cam has way smaller pixel size, which will impact the low-light performance and the chipset is meant for mid-range phones only. And yet they price it at the same level as a flagship? Samsung has gone mad!

Same price range with G4, note4, nexus6 which are 10 times better than A8. It should be cheeper at least 100$.

If it's a Samsung and it's also running Android, it shouldn't cost more than 250-300$. (except if it comes with holographic display, VR and 1 week standby time)
Anything above 300$ should have premium features and/or a premium OS.

Till when such time these giants can encash their names. Specswise Chinese are much better and cheaper. This is projected marketing. Once you make a impression of customer, then what ever you make is sold at premium.

sorry but no phone above 500$ should be shipped with snapdragon 615.
atleast the exynos in galaxy alpha should have been used

Too stupid when buy A8 with price 515$$. I don't want buy it if have money. The A8 does not have any new point include design and price or specification. I think is A8 is mid-rang phone, it is so much. I can buy other phone from many maker same price as HTC M8/7 or I phone 5... and many phone from china maker . Samsung always high price when start launch new phone but drop down faster after 2 or 3 month..
