Next morning when I turned phone on had a bright light in earpiece. Sometimes it will shut off, but usually is there lit dimly. Been Google-ing and came across your post. I know there is no notification led on Moto G3, so was wondering if there is an issue/defect in phone. Did read the link you posted about light being indication of battery depleted, but there doesn't seem to be any battery issue as it fully charges overnight according to icon on phone. I don't know what rooting is, is that something bad or issue with the phone? Again I've only had phone a couple of days and all of the playing and checking out options of my first smart phone have only ran battery down maybe half way throughout a day's use. I really like phone so far. Any other info or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

As for the Notification Pulse LED, I remember seeing it in the Ear-Piece Slot when I turned on the Phone for the very first time.
(There was no battery charge when I received the new handset and had to place it on charge. Somewhere around this phase I remember seeing the light in the Ear-Piece Slot. However, it has not functioned beyond this point nor have any options to set it up.)
I read it in a Motorola forum that "MotoG3 has a hidden LED however, it cannot be enabled unless the device is rooted which is illegal"

I m using moto g 3rd gen.. but there is no notification light in this phone.. and only one speaker.. I was using moto g 2nd gen that phn was more awesome than this one..but in 3rd gen best thing is it has 2gb ram and water proof.. if we talk abt camera its almost same..
