You don't have to buy a special extra cable with a 2mm pin.

What happened to the pop port?

There go a whole lot of useless accessories off to landfill if they don't make it to recycling.

The Nokia store in New York was the only place to test the Nokia phones. Now there is no place to test them out.

          nite nite nokie..

Really Nokia is out of touch, wake up and get your act together you silly Europies who need to learn how to adapt to US style and fvck monopoly cell networks in US but Nok should build phones that are truly compatible with 3G US networks and with good price. Throw in a AMOLED 3.7" screen and a thin form factor then wm6.5 or Android 2 os with DivX, free US sat nav, voice command, full web brower flash support, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB charge, TV out, external memory with 16G internal would make me a buyer ;) and stop fooling around nokie, u have enough junk phones to build a house (only a few "good" one but still buggy and clunky UI/OS)

[deleted post]It's interesting Motorola pulled out of a lot of countries on their downward spiral, now the current number one (Nokia) is following in the former number one's (Motorola) footsteps.

Motorola and Google, American and proud of it, working together with the Milestone/Droid to take back the ground they lost to Nokia.

            Go, go Moto.

Deep space bar, 11 Dec 2009You dumbo nokia made touchscreen phones from before.......6... moreI specifically said the almighty brand DID NOT release any touchscreen (3G) phone before iphone (3G)....

And you being the almighty brand expert can't even recall exactly what touchscreen PHONE the almighty brand released before the iphone? 6000 series? Were they selling so well even experts like you can't recall the model numbers?

I recall 2 models, 7700 and 7710, which I saw only ONCE in my lifetime seeing somebody using 7700, even (way) less than Vertu.

When others started to release "tri-band" phones supporting GSM900/1800/1900, the almighty brand also said "I want to be different" with its 8890 which supported GSM800/1900 only.

If you accuse Americans being "unique", isn't the almighty brand being different by being practically the only GSM manufacturer who insists to put the "+" key at the * position instead of 0 like everybody else?

Way before the iphone the problem is is AT&T had the 900/1700/2100 like the rest of the world and Tmobile then nokia wouldn't have a prolem shipping phones but since USA always likes to be different they suffer
Newer models take longer and are more expensive cause of the NAM RF chip and the fact that the updates take longer aswell

The almighty brand never valued the US market anyway, as it REFUSED to release (3G) touchscreen phones before iphone was released, and the number of flip phones...still preferred by many Americans (and Japanese) by the almighty brand can probably be counted with fingers and toes...
