BlackBerry's enterprise services will no longer function in Pakistan

25 July, 2015
Pakistan's Ministry of Interior has decided to ban BlackBerry Enterprise Services (BES) within the country, due to what is referred to as "security reasons". A directive was issued on Friday, stating that the services should stop functioning by December 1, 2015.

Thats why we are the most neglected people cuz we don't know our rights...We deserve to be the salves of blood-suckers. If someone talks about his rights we declare him Anti-Pakistani. May be it happens in every developed country for security reasons but they do it in a way that nobody suffer. On the name of Security or saving country we are being throwing in stone age.

The right decision from PTA. Government has to be able to "filter" communications coming from outside and going on with-in the country to assess security threats and enforce security. It *is* PTA doing their job. This communication filtering is done by countries (except from failed nations the haters belong to) all over the world, and their literate people including international businesses operating in the country understand and oblige to it.

It has nothing to do with any personal vengeance with any business network, blackberry or whatever. No government can and should allow international transmission in and out of their country without them being able to filter the content for security threats. It is not the legit businesses who're trying to spread terrorism in Pakistan, but people using such services/networks for wrong purposes

Anybody who is posting negative comments is not a Pakistani and doesn't think in favor of Pakistan.

Pakistan as a failed nation? Listen to yourself. If Pakistan was a failed nation, why would you be so butt-hurt to come to Pakistan news thread, take time out to login, and post a hateful comment? It is because of one of two thing, either you're afraid and jealous of Pakistan's progress or you've no life. Decide for yourself.

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2015your orthodox mindset suggests your ignorance.Dude that's what you were doing before, ignoring the good things about our country and only highlighting bad things, it's just about the blackberry but it was you who stated bad things about our country, it was you who grab our nation in this talk, it was you who was blaming our government.

See still i am not saying any thing bad about your country because we respect all the nations in the world but you are still arguing with us because entire world knows it who we are even your people knows that too.

so tell me if i talk about only bad thing about your country how will you react, the same rite or may be more than that, you guys only ignore bad things about your country and always try let others down, and same thing you are doing ignoring good things about us so at the end you also have ignorance in your mind,

We know who you are, where you belong, the way you talk about our nation, highlighting what you guys think about other nations nothing but shit.

AnonD-60230, 25 Jul 2015Thats the lamest kind of defense statement one can ever spe... moreThe statement you wrote "Pakistan is a failed nation". How the hell do you know that its a failed nation if its a failed then why our intelligence service is no.1 world? why our Special Service Group (SSG) Military Force is no.1 in the world? why Pakistan is the only Islamic country who holds the nuclear assets.

You guys know that who we are but the thing is you don't want to accept it because you guys are scared of our intelligence and all of our nation, so stop blaming our nation.

                    Long Live Pakistan.

yes, of course private networks, vpns and probably hundreds of ways to have untracked communication, the dark web is much bigger than accountable traffic. my first thought is towards invasion of corporate security, privacy, and information which can be used for illegal purposes, insider trading or selling corporate secrets would be just tip of the iceberg.

It seems that Blackberry is RIGHT here.
They get banned because they actually DO their job. IMHO this speaks in favour of blackberry and shows that private remains private in their behalf.

In fact I'll keep this in mind at my next purchase. Blackberry takes security indeed seriously unlike the American corporations whom bend over to the NSA at will.
