Lava Pixel V1 hands-on

27 July, 2015
Lava just announced its first Android One device in the Indian market called the Pixel V1. Unlike the Android One devices launched previously, the Pixel V1 does not share the same design and specifications as the other Android One device, which were all based on a common reference design; the V1 has a brand new design and spec sheet exclusive to Lava.

quad core is bound to deliver great performance because of the OS in the Android One program. Google and Lava must have tested only. Otherwise they had Iris X8 also with octa core

Huge size screen not so good and not use octa core processor in this range truly very bad experience for Android one users.

It has mediatek processor. With no compass, navigation in gmaps was like hell. Cannot know which direction to go without the compass. And mediatek GPS are worst. They never display my exact location. With this things in mind, I will buy moto g 3rd gen instead of this mediatek device with no compass sensor.

Lava and Google AndroidOne. . tell me ome thing. . what a gyroscope and a compass ever do to you? Why those two most critical sensor is missing? It would be a complete handset if those two goddamn sensor was in it. You broke my heart. . Now I've to move on with Motorola G the 3rd. :(

God! 720p on a 5.5" screen! Even a 4.5" screen would look horrible with that resolution. They could've at least made it 1080p and priced it around $10-20 higher.

At least they don't look horrible anymore. I know they're budget phones but a good design wouldn't hurt them.

Why is everyone here deliberately overlooking it's custom Android OS and 32 GB internal storage? I personally think its among the best devices ( if not the best) for this price range.
