Samsung always launches higher sets with low grade processors in India like note4 with snapdragon805 insteadof exynos and A8with old grade exynos containing cortex15 &7 instead of cortex A53containg processors what willbe in note5 for India , I think old exynos containing cortexA15&7.Making fool of us & selling out its old garbage processors.

Samsung always fails in proper pricing while launching a new phone then slashing the price drastically and this hurts the owners who bought it at launch. So wait and watch.

Dear all, Samsung can't handle premium price tag, so wait for next six months then same will be available around 20,000INR. Moreover dear Samsung pls change your horrible lagwiz UI.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2015Mid Range at $507. Its like calling iphone-C-series cheap !!Here in Malaysia A8 is selling as low as $440 though RRP is $490, Seems like Samsung trying to sell at "Premium" price in India.

does the A8 come with gorilla glass 4 protection? If yes, then i think it is a serious competitor to the OP2 despite being 20% costlier. Otherwise its NFC, FM and card slot features cannot beat the OP2 with its formidable combination of specs and pricing.

This is going to be an epic fail. Samsung had to realise indian market and smartphone buying people have changed.India is a major market for low budget phones from Xiaomi,One plus. With increase in online shopping Motorola and Lenovo have gained in popularity. And Samsung? They still are selling mediocre phone with crazy price tag.that too when it's now Made in India !!!

I own Galaxy S6 Edge and love it.The phone commands high price but A8 ?Seriously? Even Galaxy S6 and Edge failed. Reason: With increase in 0% finance long term EMI options high budget phones have become affordable for people and thus at around 50000 they prefer iPhone 6 (still cheaper) which guarantees more wow moments amongst peers. (Though my S6 Edge beats that ;)). And then the phone I purchased for INR 49500,2 weeks ago is now available for INR 46000 and Samsung has announced further price cut. Give me "premium" feeling for once Samsung-not by keeping exorbitant price tag though for cheap products! !

Is the A8 screen protected by gorilla glass 4? if not then it's a crying shame. It's big form is bound to have a vulnerable screen, prone to scratchs and drops.

No doubt, people will still 'shut up and give their money' to Samsung... because, [insert any reason] and needless to mention, that Samsung knows about this pretty damn well.
