It took Nokia eight years to claim Symbian as their own and release a rather mediocre touchscreen phone which was was a panic stricken response to the success of the iPhone eating into their high end profits, after the dismal failure of their Symbian touchscreen phone's to even make a dent in the continuing rise of the iPhone, Nokia again in a panic induced state turned to Maemo and the N900 which the seemed to release in a half finished state judging by the lack of features such as MMS and portrait mode.
The LG Prada was released weeks before the first working iPhone prototype was demonstrated at Macworld in January 2007.
In order to "copy" the Prada as some claim Apple who had previously never made a phone would have had to come up with the design, source the parts, built an entirely new OS, submitted it for FCC approval and had it up and running within one or two weeks.
THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Apple also bought a company called Fingerworks, when they bought the company they also bought all of it's intellectual property and patents which they developed into the familiar iPhone multitouch interface.

Moto's A-series touchscreen phones sold very well in Asia, particularly in China, as they support Chinese handwriting recognition.
How about the almighty brand? It didn't know how to recognize handwritten Chinese characters until 6108, which wasn't even a full touchscreen phone.
Its A1200 sold over a million units in China market alone.
SE released P800 and P900 and P990 before P1i, so why the almighty brand was so reluctant to release touchscreen phones before iphone? Afterall, wasn't the almighty brand being famous for making "a phone for everyone"? Shouldn't "everyone" include those who wanted touchscreen?

Only AFTER iphone (3G) was released, all of the sudden the almighty brand decided to release a dozen touchscreen phones within a year....
How well is the almighty brand doing?
Yesterday I called one of my network service providers and asked for special discount on Moto Milestone, the guy said for such (perfect) phone, we can offer little discount.
How about 5xxx? I said, "no thanks! I'll never use any product from the almighty brand".
How about anything from I?music brand? I said "do they even make PHONES? Conversation can't even be heard by the other party!"
So why did the salesperson "promoted" these 2 brands? Do they get additional commission? Or do the network service providers receive additional subsidies from these brands? Only those inside the industry can tell.
And no, the salesperson didn't even mention iphone at all...

Truth is though - whether you like it or not, Apple's iPhone completely shook up the mobile phone industry. Both for manufacturers and network providers.
Top mobile manufacturers lost market share. Major networks lost market share (including Vodafone UK). The iPhone is what the people want, it's what all networks want to offer.
As a phone it doesn't do everything but it doesn't have to. And it's still one of the most popular smartphone's in the world!
It's the one of the most iconic devices of the last 10 years.

If m... moreWhat would you know, you've only seen iPhones by peering in frosty windows as you leech Starbucks wifi while poking your 5800 with a stick in your cheap op-shop gloves.
The E71 camera is hopeless it had pink and green discolourations like the HTC HD.

Iphones camera is crap
If my e70 can take better pics then it's 3.2mp then something is wrong lol 5 year old phone taking better pics then the so called "Jesus phone"
Plus it's an insult to christians and catholics to mention Jesus and apple in the same form
Even my 6270 takes better pics and it has an LED flash on it as well
