Well I am also a Z3 Compact user and yes, you can barely tell the pixels apart if you put it next to a fullHD or QHD screen, but I feel neutral about having it upgrade it... I actually rather have more battery than more pixels. The only time I actually felt the need for more pixels was when using Google Cardboard and VR apps, otherwise it is perfect.
So yeah, IMO if they go with fullHD and at least keep the good battery life of the Z3C then go for it.... if the battery takes a hit, I rather have simply HD

The buttons themselves look like standard metal or more likely metal-like buttons, so this makes me believe that sony is leveraging qualcomm's sense id tech. As a cmos based solution requires a degree of transparency.

I really like the over all thick body of Z-5 compact but those volume keys are really in an place. Should have been above the power button.

Z5C thickness is all right. It means propper battery capacity inside. But if it uses the same crappy camera from 1st generation - no buy.

I'm sure these are prototypes. The final design will be more refined.

And to all those who want great battery life, the Z5C is said to have a 720p screen (more than enough ppi for sharp, crisp text) so it will be very light on the Adreno 430. Also, for all you super users, just turn off two of the "big" cores, and/or under clock all four to about 1.4-1.5 GHz and watch heat issues be an absolute fairy tale...the SD805 and the Exynos will heat more than this!

Vic , 05 Aug 2015If this pisture is genuine, Z5 Compact looks outdated due t... moreIf that means it retains a slightly higher capacity battery (and thus, keeping the tradition of the Z3C's amazing battery life), then I have no complaints. A bit of thickness to such compact phones makes them easier to handle as well.
