Maybe even more important than the missing features of the OP2 is the horrendous customer service / support that OnePlus Plus is infamous for. Their forums are full of it and have seen it play out. Not to mention their OS is completely unproven.

puremind, 09 Aug 2015Define flagship specs. Display, performance and battery li... moreFirst of all, Qualcomm is fooling everyone by saying that they have fixed SD810 in its latest iteration. If they had fixed overheating then why is 1+ team throttling it and applying thermal solution to keep it from overheating?
Secondly Qualcomm released both SD808 and SD810 as flagship SoCs, nothing new about that.
Then there is your precious Fingerprint sensor, what good would it do without nfc? Just unlock the phone? Do it with a pattern. Want to really use a fingerprint sensor, buy an iPhone or S6.
Lastly benchmarks mean nothing. M9 did quite well on benchmarks yet it was a failure.

P.S.: I am not taking any one company's side here. I also voted 1+1 as hot but overall it not better than X style. 1+ simply failed to deliver.

Omar Mohamed, 09 Aug 2015Moto X and Galaxy S6 edge+ Will be the phones of the year.Too late for that. OnePlus 2 and Mi Note Pro beat the S6 in 5 ou of 9 benchmarks (and the HTC One M9 in 6 out of 9, not to mention LG G4, penalized by smaller CPU).
                        http://androidcommunity.com/oneplus-2-benchmarks-caught-on-video-always-on-top-5-20150805/

Also wins in terms of battery life and fingerprint scanner. OnePlus 2 is the one to beat. Moto X Style won't be able to do it, has same specs as LG G4 and will face the same issues.

AnonD-385420, 09 Aug 2015If Samsung are not going to offer the micro sd card slot on... moreIt is hardly a factor for most people. MicroSD can be used with any device using a tiny connector on the USB port using the OTG functionality. There doesn't need to be a specific slot for that anymore.
                          http://www.dx.com/p/cute-mini-android-style-micro-usb-otg-usb-drive-reader-for-samsung-sony-orange-271074#.VcdcOxEw-po

Besides MicroSD is hardly a plus for most people. It slows down the device by using sower storage, which doesn't play well with the indexing functionality of modern smartphone OS. Internal storage or cloud services should be preferred.

AnonD-265082, 09 Aug 2015It has PROPER flagship specs. That's whyDefine flagship specs.
Display, performance and battery life of Moto X are only 85% of OnePlus 2 because it has sub-flagship components. No, IPS, no S810 v2.1, smaller battery.

Once the first in-depth reviews trickle in it will become obvious that the Moto X has performance closer to the 2014 flagships (e.g. Note 4). QHD flagships in 2015 have done poorly apart from Mi Note Pro (which has S810 v2.1) and S6 (which has Exynos 7240). QHD devices with inferior SOC have ended up with average battery life and inferior performance (e.g. LG G4).

The Moto X is a good sub-flagship device that will perform well in most situations but makes the economy of a fingerprint scanner and an IPS display and will not satisfy gamers and FPS junkies. The GPU is too weak compared to the 630Mhz Adreno 430 of the S810.

                              The poll was rigged:
U.S. audience more familiar with Motorola
Moto X devices had unique features highlighted in the description whereas OnePlus was described in a very subdued way.

I don't like polls that try to manipulate people into thinking the opposite of the truth. Cross check that against the number of hits for each device on GSM arena, and it is the opposite! OnePlus 2 had 3 times as many hits...

Plus the upgrade from last gen is rather incremental. Same processor, same display and they removed the stereo speaker.
Like I said before, the competition is very tough. Motorola need to up their game if they want to keep selling G series.
