It's probably the most stand-out thing this phone will ever get. Why is the smartphone scene so boring now? It seems like the Modular ARA and Windows 10 will be the biggest blessing for smarter handsets. I pretty much keep a smartphone as another access point for internet browsing and Wi Fi calls/texts...

Acefire, research has been done. Jumping to conclusions: Most have the bump on "5"

Why we need this? I don't get it. Someone out there will come with 100 excuses to tell us this is a useful product.

The bumps are on the F and J keys simply to make touch typing easier. Do some research before jumping to conclusions.
Many keyboards also have bumps on the F and J keys. It is not practical to have another bump on the numpad 5 key in this case as it would only create confusion. A bump on the 5 key will only appear if it's a dedicated numpad.

The bumps on F and J would not be there.
The bump would always be on the "5" key regardless of the letter.
