A lot of rubbish has been written about the upcoming Google phone.

Unfortunately, non of you phone "geeks" realise the truth!

And that is, that the Google phone is an act of desperation by Google.

Apple and it's IPhone have won the smart-phone touchscreen war.

Google are giving away their android system to anyone that wants it. And anyone who can afford it, is buying an IPhone, even people who cannot afford it are buying it.
Apple are selling a million phones a month. Google and its allies are selling only a tiny fraction of that, have not seen the figures, probably an embarrassing secret.

The final insult will be when apple rewrite android as an apple app. So if you really want it. You can run it and it's apps on an IPhone!

Google Nexus One is very similar to the upcoming HTC Legend phone. One difference though is that Legend comes with an optical track-pad instead of that track-ball. And thats for a reason. Trackballs are great under optimal conditions. But every now and then something jams up the mechanism temporarily. Or the ball becomes slippery due a sweathy/cold-numb thumb. So partly for this reason Im gonna wait for the HTC Legend instead.

The nexus will be good for Android, because it will lift the profile of Android & hopefully get more programmers to start creating programs/games. For me the nexus does not stand out from any other Android phone, the Android phone.

I am looking forwarded to is the Moto XT701 with Xenon flash & 8 megapixel camera??? Now this will be the ultimate Android phone.

zeus, 04 Jan 2010Bro,if youre in the US,yeah It wouldnt make sense unlocked ... morehahahaha i agree with you zeus. unlocked phones are most used here in the philippines because its much more cheaper than getting a carrier.
and the good thing about unlocked phones is you have the choice to replace your phone whenever you like it. unlike if you use carrier phone your lock for the rest of your life hahahaha. by the way NEXUSONE is kind of awkward looking design but its ANDROID! so its better to be good.

Please Google, get your act together. I am very angry at you and your Android OS.

I have an Android phone running version 1.5

While on the Internet, I noticed in the menu section that there was a "select text" option! I selected some text on the Internet page. And a pop-up box appeared informing me that "text was copied to the clipboard" !

I then tried to paste the contents of the clipboard!
                                        NO paste option ! Anywhere!
Looked for help on the phone, All the settings.
Even looked at the 200 page manual supplied on a CD. Did a search on the word paste and other related phrases such as cut, copy, clipboard. Still none the wiser.

Looked for help on the subject on the Internet.
Found that other people were asking the same question on discussion forums!
Some people were complaining that the IPhone had an upgrade, with a well publicised clipboard feature added.
Where is the Android clipboard ?

After a couple of hours searching, I found the answer!

A LONG PRESS ON A TEXT INPUT BOX, BRINGS UP THE CLIPBOARD MENU!
From there we can cut, copy select and paste text, between and within applications.
The clipboard is at the Android system level and woks whenever text is being altered by the keyboard. In addition we can copy text from web pages and paste them as well.
                                        A very good feature!

                                        So why the B******* H*** isn't it documented ?
