Samsung Galaxy Note5 promo video flaunts the new S Pen

13 August, 2015
The veil has been lifted, Samsung Galaxy Note5 is official. As usual, it's all about the S Pen, especially now that there's only one, there's no Galaxy Note Edge successor instead we got a pen-less Galaxy S6 edge+ phablet.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015You guys still don get the idea behind this. Samsung is not... moreWhat future proof ... where is reversible connector already available or announced in few phones..... battery will last for a year or so then what to and fro visits to samsung service centre for replacing it ( not to mention it will cost a bomb).... future proof means no need to add any memory with 32 and 64 GB its not future proof ( just load a few movies in 4k and memory is almost full).... and how many of us can afford to have 1200 dollar phone for 128GB (barring few businessmen )... lets face it samsung in the race for catching iphone is going the nokia way.. slowly and steadily out of the sight from its real fans.... Still love my Note 3.....

IMO, the reason that I'm not impressed with note 5, is that note 4 was a really really amazing devices.
The main attraction of S6, was that S5 was a disaster, and S6 brought some new things to the table

With all the major important features that most of us value are gone, even the first Galaxy Note is better to buy than this Note5. So therefore I can call it the Galaxy Note.5 (NotePOINTfive) because it's half of a Galaxy Note ought to be.

You guys still don get the idea behind this. Samsung is not thinking in the present, they are thinking of the future. This phone is what set the standard for smartphone in the coming future. They are giving you a future proof smartphone. Technology changed pretty fast these day. The older version is great but it will be not last you 3 to 5 years from now. You insistantly want to buy Note 4 which is not going to receive any updates 2 yeats from now? SD card keep growing in capacity which is not future proof either. Sd card used to be 32mb, 64mb and 128mb back in 2005. Then it grows to 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, 8gb and 16gb. Now we have 32gb, 64gb and 128gb. If it keep growing bigger Samsung phone don't support any bigger than 128gb so it is not future proof. Note 5 have the latest user to pc feature that allows you to see your phone screen in pc including in Mac and Windows computer for easy access. New scroll screenshot, clickable Spen, bigger screen to body ratio, curved back make the phone feel smaller and ease one hand operation. Fast wireless charging may not support by developing countries but this is the future we talking about, not the present. Samsung Pay which can be read by all the credit card reader, it is virtually available everywhere unlike Apple. Samsung use MST and works even if there is no the shop don't accept NFC payments. Already being used in Korea as a trial right now and will launch by next week. Note 4 and older Note users are missing out the new era futuristic features. Even if your country doesn't support it yet(4G network or Samsung pay), just keep thinking about the future.

AnonD-246216, 14 Aug 2015Well, no one is forcing you to buy the note 5. Or are you j... moreNah, he was just sad that he wouldn't buy Note 5, because it is not that much of an upgrade from his Note 4 (or any Note 4 for that matter). I think the same way, however I have a Note 3. Now do I really need to "show off" or let people know that I have a phone which is two generations older? Nah!

Maybe it's you who think like that. You know, dirty mind always thinks dirty ;-)

AnonD-237024, 13 Aug 2015Nope, nope, nope. Sticking to my Note 4.Well, no one is forcing you to buy the note 5. Or are you just commenting so that people will know you have a note 4? Sad man, you are...

If there is going to be case for note5 with memory and battery, I could consider, if just note would be here in few weeks/months. But another year? Its like saying: dont buy me. BTW, ""nice price""!

Question: Why does the video say "more screen space"? What does that mean?

AnonD-237024, 13 Aug 2015Nope, nope, nope. Sticking to my Note 4.Damn, that sick Samsung Pay, sick YouTube live recording, sick performance and RAM, sick features. No SD slot is not a problem. The thing is once you have an SD u just want it bigger, bigger, and bigger in memory. I'd rather back my photos up often, rather than having 100GB of pics to be backed up. No IR?? I have a Gear 2 + IR. No problem. All glass?? Get a soft, super thin case on ebay.

AnonD-237024, 13 Aug 2015Nope, nope, nope. Sticking to my Note 4.Why? This has better looks by far and everything's been improved otherwise. Usually there's no reason to upgrade yearly, but this really is a worthy change.

So basically, we are in for huge disappointments from almost every global phone manufacturer this year except Huawei ( Honor 7) and Motorola. :-(
