The King of Phablets, the pioneer of Phablets.
What the f..k have you done with it Samsung?? What a bloody shame.
And now your move not to release it in Europe this year. Who wants it here by next year? A 4 or 5 months old phone!!! New ones with new specs will be released by then.
Write it down Samsung, you will loose even more user now.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015Exactly... I don't see what most people don't see that r... moreLOL! Finally, someone here who practices "ZERO -Charging" (I like that that phrase and I think I'll use it, with credits to you)!

I've seen comments like it's such a hassle turning off change the battery, and that power banks are convenient... It doesn't make more sense at all. HOURS of plugging in the device, versus 80 seconds of swapping out the batteries to full boot. It's such an efficient way to getting a full charge right away - NOT wait "under 120 minutes" of charging. It's so ridiculous! 80 seconds, folks. 80 seconds. 80 SECONDS!!! Watch this demo:
    http://flic.kr/p/k8Wdnr

Would you rather wait 120 minutes? 120 MINUTES means 2 hours!!!

Or would you rather permanently strap a power bank into your Note?

    http://flic.kr/p/xhEda6
Bringing a power bank require bags for you to put it into, or else people might have the impression you're happy to see them most of the time. Seriously, power bank is a trend because of the sealed battery business Apple started.

TheNeighbor, 14 Aug 2015Yeah, after our felt disappointments! Yes, Samsung, be very... moreExactly...

I don't see what most people don't see that removable battery means zero charge time (the extra battery is being charged while you use your phone, that leads to zero wait time once your main battery is depleted).

Fast-Charging? I have had zero-charging for like 5 years now. The current situation is going back to the medieval, that's how it feels...

Please note. This is Samsung. Not Apple.

For Apple, so long as you have the cash, you can get the most highest storage version no matter where you are.

For Samsung, its not as easy.. most likely not even the telcos will provide it..

Most will have to import.. and that cost even more $$.

Same with Laptops / Macs .. its very disappointing for Windows laptops if you are targeting the higher storage / ram / cpu options.

AnonD-123996, 14 Aug 2015You know what they say, if you cant beat them join them. Ch... moreThey didn't join chinese manufacturers - there are too many of them who offer all the options. They are the ones who Samsung should have competed against. But no, they decided to join Apple - which has always had huge amount of loyal fans who won't switch brand. But those who want big and removable batteries, sd slots and normal prices will totally switch to a chinese brand.
            Insane policy, Shamsung.

They will probably cost 1000 bucks +

AnonD-77443, 14 Aug 2015Based on the sprint 64GB prices and the drop in the AU$ it ... moreI can relate, Bunyip. I would think my region will never sell the 128GB version since they didn't for the S6. If it were the case, the 128GB version be priced an absurd amount of $1300 to $1400. I think I'll spend that money on a productive device like a 256GB MS Surface Pro 3 that I've been wanting, and just keep my Note 3 as a protest. They ain't getting my love this year or the next.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015Yes even iphones hv no sd slot... shut up abt it already..."Even"? It doesn't have and that's exactly the reason other brands need to have. Those who want fashion-accesories instead of SMARTphones already have iphones.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015Yes even iphones hv no sd slot... shut up abt it already...This is not an iPhone. I don't have to remind you that majority of Android phones have expandable memory slots - that's an important aspect of any respectable high-end Android device. You may not use one, but majority of do. You don't want me showing you statistics again, do you?

If this is clearly Samsung's attempt to cut corners while charging some $900+ on a basic 32GB model, it's utterly obscene. It's silly. It's ungranted. It's unfair. It's giving us reason to complain because they did say they "listen to customers". Now they have to listen to the right crowd of customers, not the useless iPhone "don't-know-whatever-don't-care" people. It seems the clamor for larger memory has been heard. It's working, folks! Let's keep it up.

You know what they say, if you cant beat them join them. Chinese smartphone market has finished and ruined the smartphone market by making sealed batteries,SD card usage option in place of second sim and many other limited options. Because chinese were competing to give a lot of harder tough time to mr.Cupertino. Because of this, samsung got negative and slow sales and decided to join the chinese market.Sammy remember LG was also making same things before the G4 and since you made S6 S6edge+ note 5 in chinese style, LG came in the market now by having old sammy designs i.e removable battery SD card slots and leather luxury. Now you can see LG G4 how it converted to leather, removable battery and SD card. I believe and doubt that a time will come when mr.cupertino will make a surprising step by adding removable battery,SD card slots with special apple OTG USB flash drives on the market. I am happy that i already bought myself note 3,4,note edge and gear S the last golden legends of samsung. Now i will never consider to buy any smartphone. As now i have the golden models with me for good. I doubt that these kind of golden models will ever return back to market as now almost 99% of all smartphones tabs are sealed battery with limited RAM and SD options.

Based on the sprint 64GB prices and the drop in the AU$ it would cost me about AU$1300-$1400 for a 128GB Note 5... My Note 4 cost me AU$850... Thanks Samsung but I will keep my 32GB Note 4 with spare battery and 128GB card and see what the Note 6 is like...

Yes even iphones hv no sd slot... shut up abt it already...

Yeah, after our felt disappointments! Yes, Samsung, be very afraid you'll lose customers with how your directing the Galaxy Note. I call it Galaxy NotePOINTfive because it's only half of what a Note can function.

Now correct the mistake of your sealed battery. We care about removable battery:

The removable battery system is very practical and much more efficient.

                                1. Better battery cycling and thereby longer life. If you cycle 3 batteries, they can be 3 times more effective in holding a charge than a single one over usage. Yes, they will slowly lose charge hold.

                                2. Seconds to get a full charge back than wait hours to charge. It takes only just about a minute, from turning off, swapping, and full boot.

                                3. No need to carry the charger or a heavier power bank. For those days you don't need to carry a bag, just your essentials, your phone and a thin extra battery - all in your pockets comfortably.

                                4. You have a choice of a third party extended battery, even tripling the capacity. Yup, Mugen and Zerolemon offer this more effective secure long power needs that guarantee long power use 100% - every ounce of charge is used, unlike power banks.

                                5. Safer to charge on a cradle than on the device. Forget wireless charging too, as it often contribute heat while while those inductive coils are working. Heat is the number one enemy of current battery technology. Fast charging will also contribute to a shorter cycle life.

                                6. Reduces the chances of theft while charging outside the house. Even with fast charging, you need some 1 hour to charge - you still have to wait and leave it. Yeah there are power banks, but you usually would leave the device alone.

                                7. An extra battery is smaller and thinner to carry inside your pocket. Yes, it's 5mm thick, compared to some 20 to 25mm thick power banks - thin power banks would be pointless if you'll just get to effectively charge your battery by only half.

                                8. When your battery finally gives up, you just buy a new one. Yes, folks - you get 100% efficiency with about $20. You can delay

                                9. No need to pay for more expensive internal battery and wait for days to have it installed.

                                10. Your device becomes practically wireless without the need to plug in via the micro USB most of the time if you just charge the spent battery via the battery cradle.

A sealed battery gives the advantages of a smaller and thinner body, less expensive to make without the extra housing, and lighter. But it has less practicality to me. You'd have to get this which does not give you a full charge and becomes dead weight, or carry a bulky power bank.
