The Nexus has 190MB of space available for installation of applications.

I have 4.5GB of iPhone Apps, I won't be getting an Android phone it just can't offer what I need.

Also, just shows how bad jailbreaking the iphone is if you had to have it replaced 3 times in 18 months. Just proved my point that jailbreaking is not good :)

I am right. The iphone has an exclusive contract with AT&T. All services for the iphone works better through AT&T and Apple. You can synch to itunes with no worries of your phone being bricked. You can avail of updates as soon as it's available, you are covered under Apple's warranty if something goes wrong with the phone. The integration of services is just more convenient when you do things legitimately.

I am right. Whether you unlock or jailbreak the iphone, it is for reasons that aren't legitimate, hence, you tamper with the phone. Either way, when something goes wrong with your iphone, Apple will know that you have tampered with it, and you would lose your warranty.

You did say "they tried to make it as dumb as possible". Also, it is in the implication of your statement that made it seem that iphone users are dumb. What's dumb is peole like you who cannot respect what other people prefers and cannot accept facts that the iphone is a device that is still on top.

"iphone outsold it's competitors, not just in profit, but in units as well"
What competitors are you talking about? Get your facts straight.

"It is locked so that services can be integrated more systematically."
                  Wrong again.
Can you explain what do you mean by "services"? Is it upgrading your phone to newer software versions? Or is it about App store?
Both are done by Android without locking and also by Jail Broken iPhones.

"Those who jailbroke their iphones are usually those who does not want to be with the iphone's carrier"
                  Wrong again.
What you are talking about is unlocking or carrier unlock. Jail broking unlocks the access to the iPhone original system files so that you can modify some of them. This way you can have Multitasking, 3 rd party UI themes and custom sounds, Safari file download manager etc.

"Apple has their own concept on how their products are to be distributed"
Here you're making some sense but this is what I said from a point of view. Here's what I said : it came locked by almost every possible way so you use it the way Apple wants you to i.e. as a luxury item capable of doing literally everythinng you throw at it but with a catch.

"It's either you like it or you don't, it does not make anyone dumb whether they prefer the iphone or no"
With this statement you have shown how dumb you are.Because I said : the iPhone is no longer dumb, at least no more dumb than its loyal followers.
Its a comparative statement. By thinking that I'm calling you(iPhone loyalists) dumb you have shown how much dumb you think the iPhone is.

Most people (myself included) Jailbreak their iPhones to enable them to install third party apps that are actually useful (unlike the majority found in the app store).

                    Apps like

                    Backgrounder
                    IntelliScreen
                    BossPrefs
                    etc

Not to change carrier as that requires an unlock not a jailbreak or they can't afford data as tariffs like O2's has unlimited data.

The iphone does have the basic functionality of a phone, which is to make phone calls. It is locked so that services can be integrated more systematically. Those who jailbroke their iphones are usually those who does not want to be with the iphone's carrier, or, cannot afford to pay data but likes to be seen with an iphone. I can sense your bitterness to the iphone's success. Apple has their own concept on how their products are to be distributed. It's either you like it or you don't, it does not make anyone dumb whether they prefer the iphone or not. It's a choice or a preference.

So numbers do not necessarily mean that it's better. The iphone's 3mp camera takes better photos than some htc phones with 5mp cameras as well. Which means, there are other things to consider, like software and lens. Also, the Nexus may have a higher screen resolution and have amoled screen, but the iphone still has better legibility under direct sunlight. Also, the iphone still has the most number of apps in its App Store, and has thr convenience of synching with itunes as well. Those may not be important to some, but it is to others. It all boils down to what matters the most to a user.

How many smartphones do you know that sold 35 million units in 3 years? The iphone is definitely in the smartphone category. Multitasking is not in the definition of what a smartphone should be.

It has even outsold the smartphones that used to have email back then, and that still doesn't make it a good phone. Point: iPhone = cheapo for the masses.

But compared to the iPhone that won the WORST MOBILE EVER award there really isn't any other mobile phone out there that worked submediocre bot in GSM and internet.

Apple's strategy is simple. Its a phone with not even basic functionality, people are gonna call their bluff. So the innovative phone handling was disguised as a top end phone. Basically its just another luxury handsets like Vertu, Xperia Pureness.
This is proven more by the fact that it came locked by almost every possible way so you use it the way Apple wants you to i.e. as a luxury item capable of doing literally everythinng you throw at it but with a catch.
People "jail broked" it and unleashed its true worth but there are obvious(hardware) limitations of RAM and battery life.
Its a smartphone because Apple couldn't have made it any other way looking at their track record with MACs but they tried their best to make it as dumb as possible, to hide limitations and make profits.
It seems the phone is no longer dumb, at least no more dumb than its loyal followers.

We will transparently compare iPhone with Google Nexus to unveil which phone is the less previleged:
iPhone is powered by ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz, while nexus is run by the faster 1Ghz snapdragon CPU. Display is an edge apart 3.5″ TFT Touch Screen of iPhone compared to the 3.7″ AMOLED of Nexus. Camera, which is one of the most important accessories alot of users would first prefer; Apple iPhone pack with a 3.15 MP (should we say 3 MP) autofocus camera while Nexus humbles a 5 MP autofocus with LED flash.
The specifications speaks alot of the capabilty of each one, and based on a preliminary specifications that I checked, I came up to a conclusion that even though iPhone revolutionary changes revenue sheets of Nokia, Sony Ericksons, HTC, Palm, etc. Google Nexus is by far more exemplary and will be the next best sell.

I would still love with the iPhone though... hehehe!
