Any Upgradatation or Change of any nature has initial resistance from all over but all these are meant for time being and has relativity in nature. I also thought of that but my best branded Laptop along with Windows 8.1 legit copy also had problem related to Internet Explorer after an update recently from Microsoft Update and pursued the matter in Microsoft community, found many from around the World having the same issue.
So, it forced me to upgrade to the latest Windows 10 Home Single Language and to my astonishment all problem solved within just 50 minutes of span which I struggled for nearly a month unnecessarily though my laptop always prompted me to update & upgrade.
I personally have NIL issue against this New Windows OS other than Auto Update of Windows and its components though you can control of other softwares like MS Office and other related software to MS.
I would rather say that I am fully satisfied with Windows 10. If you are eligible to upgrade, just go for it...really super fast and best ever.

moo, 15 Aug 2015Why has update sizes become a thing now? Never used to be w... moreAre you talking about workstations/servers. PCs never had 4gb in 2004. 1gb was considered high then. Majority of PCs/laptops have have 4gb RAM now.

Windows10 sucks ass., 15 Aug 2015Have they announced the number of reverts from Win10 to 8.1... moreI doubt it. I see no reason to revert, windows 10 is far, far, far, far ,far far, far better than both 8.1 and windows 7. Better battery life, performance, looks, everything. Why would you revert? Because of some little bugs that are probably fixed by now with this update?

using windows 10 from the beginning. Mine works smoothly, no problems at all! Smooth as butter, far better than windows 8.1! :)

Those who are having issues should perform a clean installation! Yeah there might be some bugs at this point, but i'm sure in time all of them will be taken care of. :)

Veronica, 15 Aug 2015You are wrong, I repair a lot of new (from 2012 andere abov... moreThat's insane but I've heard a lot of similar stories. Maybe it uses so much RAM just because it's there? I mean, no matter what I do in Firefox or Opera my whole PC doesn't use more than 1.3-1,4 GB of RAM, not just the browser. Then again, I'm not using Windows so maybe that's got something to do with it.

I like Windows 10 but there are definitely bugs. They are fixing lots and I'm glad but I have a major one. When I put my laptop to sleep, lots of times when I wake it up I just get a black screen, then it either force restarts on its own or I have to do it, that's the only way it works again. Googling it I found that lots of people are having that issue.

That number must be pretty high too.

moo, 15 Aug 2015Why has update sizes become a thing now? Never used to be w... moreYou are wrong, I repair a lot of new (from 2012 andere above) computers and around 80% of them have 1tb or max 2tb drive and 8gb of ram.

Same for laptops, 500gb to 1tb hdd and 4gb to 8gb ram.

I have 32gb ram, and yeah Chrome using 6gb ram with 8 tabs is not that much of my 32gb ram, but still 6GB RAM FOR A BROWSER WITH 8 TABS!?

I mean Firefox is also ram hungry, but 8 tabs on Firefox use only 1,5gb ram...

Why has update sizes become a thing now? Never used to be with previous Windows versions, no one cared because everyone has 1TB+ now at least. I bought a new HDD that was 5TB and only cost me 80 quid... Like people moaning about Chrome using lots of ram because it dedicates a process to each tab... which is superior and how it should be done. We all had 4GB of Ram by 2004... everyone I know now has 16GB, it only costs 60 quid for that, I personally have 32GB and it set me back less than 200.

                            Weird.
